A/N

(Y/N) Your Name

"Signing"

"Talking"

Caesar led the humans back to the ape home. He helped them up over to a space where him and Maurice would usually sit during the day. A perfect view of the city was seen below, lights shining brightly. "The... lights." Caesar said as he pointed. They all smiled at the beautiful sight. Then Caesar looked up to his tree, seeing Cornelia up and walking around with their baby son in her arms.

He smiled and went up to her, he hugged Cornelia then led her over to the edge of their tree. He showed her the lights that beamed in the distance. Cornelia placed a hand on his shoulder and turned around. They both faced their eldest son, Blue Eyes, who stood there curiously as he walked closer to Cornelia.

"Mother...?" He signed. Cornelia held out a hand and touched the side of his face. Blue Eyes wasted no time in giving his mother a massive hug, relieved she was okay.

Caesar stayed where he was, on the edge of the tree. He looked up at the top of the tree and met eyes with (Y/N). He smiled, "Why don't you come down?" He signed.

"It's your family. Not mine."

"But you are my family." (Y/N) chuckled as she shook her head. She knew he wasn't going to give up. So she lifted herself up into the air but stopped when she heard the sound...of a gunshot. (Y/N) looked around and saw no one hurt. Except Caesar.

Caesar stayed standing as he held his left shoulder. A shocked expression planted on his face. He slowly started to lean to his right and fell over the edge of the tree.

"NO!!" (Y/N) screamed raspily, so loud it echoed throughout the woods. She darted down as quickly as she could, creating a sharp breeze and chased Caesar down the hill but something caught her in the air just before she could reach him.

As (Y/N) fell through the air, she turned around and found what hit her. Koba. Koba snarled an evil smirk then just before they hit the ground, he jumped off her, grabbed onto a tree and climbed back up the hill.

(Y/N) continued to fall for another two seconds before slamming into a tree, knocking her out cold and falling onto the forest floor.

The Next Morning

(Y/N) woke up dizzy. She stood up slowly as she leaned onto the tree that she hit last night. She checked her surrounding before realising, "Caesar!" She yelled. (Y/N) immediately tried to fly but fell in pain. She groaned. Guess I'm walking. She thought as she walked through the forest as she continued to shout her brother's name. Through the pain, she tried a couple times to fly but each time, she would just fall back on the floor.

"Must be dislocated." She examined as she examined her wing. "Shit, that hurts." (Y/N) grunted as she continued to walk around the forest, trying to find Caesar. As she called his name, someone called hers.

"(Y/N)!" It was Malcolm.

"Malcolm?" She called back.

"(Y/N)! Over here!" Malcolm yelled. (Y/N) followed the sound of his voice and the sense of his body heat. Eventually she found Malcolm who was walking around the forest, looking for her. "(Y/N)! Oh god... finally! We have to-"

"No. I'm not going anywhere until I find Caesar!" She interrupted as she continued to look around.

"We found him!" (Y/N) stopped pacing and faced Malcolm. "He's in our car. We need to take him to a safe place until we figure out what we're going to do."

(Y/N) nodded and shakingly said, "Take me to him."

After a few minutes, and (Y/N) falling a bit and declining help from Malcolm, both of them made it to the car. Alex stood beside the car while Ellie sat in the boot (trunk) with Caesar, who was lying motionless but still alive.

"Caesar!" (Y/N) exclaimed as she ran over to the ape.

"(Y-Y/N)...are you...okay?" He asked weakly as he smiled.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine but don't worry about me. We need to take care of you. Ellie? What's happening." (Y/N) said in a hurry.

"He's lost a lot of blood but if I can remove the bullet then he'll be okay." Ellie replied. (Y/N) let out a sigh of relief. Then Malcolm spoke.

"Where will we go? We need somewhere we can hide him but also close to the city." (Y/N) thought for a second then looked at Caesar and he nodded.

"I know somewhere." She said. The five of them drove closer to the city as (Y/N) told them where to go and soon enough, they made it.

"I don't understand. What are we doing here?" Alex asked as he got out of the car.

"It doesn't matter. We just need a place to hide them until we find out what's going on at home." Malcolm replied as he also got out of the car. He and (Y/N) carried Caesar while Ellie and Alex moved things out of the way. They set Caesar down on the couch while Alex and Ellie looked around the house for things that could help. Then something caught Alex's eye, a photo. He looked at it then showed his dad.

"Dad, look. Look." He said as he held out the photo. Caesar and (Y/N) caught sight of it. They looked at each other and Caesar held (Y/N)'s hand as she looked away, sort of embarrassed.

"We need to operate on Caesar but I don't have anything. I can fix (Y/N)'s wing, but I'll need bandages and a surgical kit but they're back at the place, but that's-"

"I'll go." Malcolm said.

"It's not safe." Ellie said confused, worried and a little angry.

"He's the only one who can stop this." It took a moment for Ellie to agree but eventually she did. So off Malcolm went, back to the city.
