A/N

(Y/N) Your Name

"Signing"

"Talking"

Caesar and the apes were trotting through the forest to their home. Caesar was at the front of the group, looking around for his sister. She should've been back by now. He thought to himself. He continued to lead the apes back home until the sounding of flapping wings came from behind them. Caesar turned his head and saw his sister floating in the air. "What took you so long?" He asked as the group continued to walk and (Y/N) continued to fly.

"I spoke to the humans." She replied.

"What? Why?" Caesar asked confused with a combination of worry and question on his face.

"It's okay, I'm fine. We just had a small...disagreement." (Y/N) noted trying to keep Caesar calm.

"I can take care of myself, you know. I'll tell you more later." Caesar looked at her and nodded. Swearing, that if anyone else would do anything to hurt his sister, he would end them. Permanently.

At Home

"-and then I left." (Y/N) finished telling Caesar what had happened before she left the human's home.

"So they didn't hurt you?" Caesar asked.

"No." (Y/N) said.

"You'll always tell me if they do right? If anyone hurts you, you'll tell me right?" Caesar said seriously. (Y/N) smirked.

"They'll have to catch me first.

Later That Night

The Ape Council sat around the fire, talking about what they were going to to about the human situation. They did go to the human home and told them to stay away. But they knew that wouldn't be enough. So they upped their defences and made sure that there was no way for the humans to find them.

One question that did linger in the Caesar's mind was why did they come up here in the first place?' 'What were they looking for?' He didn't know. So he asked (Y/N) to go look in the morning. And of course, she agreed.

So the next morning, (Y/N) went around the Redwoods, trying to find something the humans could want. She didn't find anything until she traveled along the river. (Y/N) found a waterfall that fell off the cliff right next to a small building made of metal. She had never seen it before.

(Y/N) flew round it, trying to find a way in. She saw an entry and flew down in front of it. She walked through, only hearing silent water droplets fall from the ceiling. She found many machines and other walkways inside. She decided to go back home and tell her brother.

So (Y/N) went back to the ape colony and went through the main entrance. And oddly, she only found one gorilla on duty. She landed next to him. The gorilla bowed his head when he saw her. "Hey, what's going on?" She signed.

"A human. Male. He's at the yard talking with Caesar." He replied. (Y/N) nodded in thanks and flew into the air. She flew into the yard and saw Caesar standing on his massive rock and Malcolm, on his knees in front of him. The gorillas kept him down. She glided around and landed next to Caesar. Caesar saw her out of the corner of his eye, but didn't stop staring at the man before him. (Y/N) only glared at the human.

Suddenly Koba gave a hoot, and held up a giant spear above Malcom, ready to strike at any moment. The other apes started to get louder until Caesar raised his hand and they all went silent. "Show... me."

Malcolm led Caesar, (Y/N) and a few other apes towards the waterfall that (Y/N) was just at. Malcolm tried to go as fast as he could across the logs that laid across the half dam but he was still slow. Caesar and the other apes climbed across with ease while (Y/N) hovered above. They made it inside the metal building.

"This is what we used to call a small hydro.." Malcolm stated as they walked through. "It was built to surface areas to the north of here. We've been working to reroute the power lines to the city. The city used to run on nuclear power but that ran out years ago so we've been using diesel generators and gasifiers but if we can just get this...this dam working then we have a shot at restoring limited power." Malcolm finished looking to Caesar for answer. The apes just stared at him looking at him blankly. (Y/N) had her arms crossed looking at him unamused.

"Is any of this making any sense to you?" Malcolm asked. (Y/N) rolled her eyes angrily. Does he think that they're idiots?

Caesar began to nod, "The...lights." He said. Malcolm gave a half smile.

"Yes... the lights. This is your home... and I don't want to take it away from you I promise. But if you can...allow us... to do our work here-"

"You... brought... others?!" Koba cut him off. Malcolm stepped back a bit.

"Just a few." He admitted. "I'm not a threat. If I am... then I guess you can kill me."

"I say kill him." (Y/N) blurted out. For once, Koba agreed with her.

"Come on (Y/N)." Caesar signed to her half desperately. She rolled her eyes again.

"Fine. But if they try anything then they're out of the forest, for good." Caesar nodded in agreement then turned back to Malcolm.

"Deal."
