So I guess people don't like it when I kill off Peter so I was told repeatedly that I need to make an alternative ending where Peter lives so here.

And then he was alone with his thoughts, standing at the edge of the roof. He felt the wind rippling through his clothes and shuffled closer, sobs ripping from his throat.

He didn't want this. He never had. But it seemed like the only thing he could do. So he closed his eyes and he was about to fall forward when he heard the familiar roar of the Iron Man blasters.

His eyes snapped open and he spun around slowly, seeing the armor land down and out stepped his mentor with a concerned gaze. "Peter." He breathed. Peter watched him step closer and felt more tears roll down his cheeks.

"Why are you here?" He croaked. Tony stepped closer and Peter took a step back. Tony's breath hitched and he stilled. "Peter, don't do this. I can help you." The billionaire whispered.

Peter shook his head. "I just want it to stop. I want to go." He cried, his breaths coming in short gasps. Tony had tears in his eyes now. "I can stop it. I swear to god I can help you. Just take my hand." Tony begged.

He held his hand out toward the trembling boy with teary eyes. Peter started sobbing and knew he couldn't do it. He held out his hand and Tony smiled weakly. But then his foot slipped.

Their eyes widened in unison as terror flooded through them. And Peter fell. Tony yelled in horror, his suit around him in seconds as he dived down after the kid. His kid.

Peter was looking up at him with sad terrified eyes. Just as Peter was about to hit the ground, Tony scooped him up into his arms. Peter started sobbing, clutching the armor for dear life.

Tony had a similar reaction, clutching Peter. Tony brought them back up to the roof and fell out of his suit, hugging Peter as they both sobbed. They fell to their knees and Tony whispered assurances over and over again until he couldn't understand himself.

"I got you. I got you. I got you." He murmured. "I'm so sorry." Peter wailed. "You're going to be okay. I'm never letting you go." Tony said in a firm voice. And he wasn't. Because he'd seen through the mask.

He'd seen. And he would save his boy if it was the last thing he did.
