(Sorry this one is a bit late, I've been a bit ill and haven't been able to find motivation. I'm having a good day today so yaaa.)
3rd Person
After dropping Keith at his home, carefully avoiding conversation with his older brother about why Keith was asleep in his arms. Lance wandered the streets alone for a while, eventually finding himself at the marina. He inhaled the crisp scent of the water and let his legs dangle over the edge. The cobblestone rocks were uncomfortable underneath him but he had become accustomed to the unusual feeling.
Keith was painted all over his mind, the feeling of warmth that rushed through his body when they were together. The small imperfections of his face, the soothing violet colour of his eyes, how his pale skin contrasted the inky black colour of his hair. Even though they'd only known about eachother for a couple of weeks, Lance's desperation to be near Keith was evident as he couldn't even sit still when alone anymore. Lance mentally scolded himself for being so attracted to Keith, he was supposed to be 'Loverboy Lance' or 'The Tailor' as his friends sometimes called him. Keith seemed to have a drug effect on Lance, as soon as they were near eachother Lance felt like he was floating, the sound of Keith's laugh made Lance feel like he had snorted about 60lbs of cocaine.
The overpowering thought that Keith didn't like Lance back was one of the many worrying things about the whole ordeal, considering the fact that Lance had fallen. Fast.
To Lance, Keith was probably weirded out about Lance's comfortability around him. How he would always make sure to make him laugh, how Lance would always make sure Keith was having a good time, whatever situation they were in.
Lance sighed and stared at his ring, which at that time, was the only thing that helped Lance to remember that they were soulmates, Keith had to like Lance back, they were destined to. Lance couldn't help but shake the feeling that they needed to start telling each-other things, Lance didn't want to let Keith know about the abuse that he had been enduring for the most of his life. Going back to his Father's house is something that he'd have to do, in the end he couldn't just dump all of his life pressures on Pidge and her family, it wasn't fair.
Lance pulled his legs up from the side of the Marina and strolled back towards the direction of the main neighbourhood.
His phone buzzed in his pocket and he hesitantly pulled it out, checking the caller ID he sighed a breath of relief as Pidge's name came up. He answered it after a few moments.
"Lance?" Pidge's voice echoed through the phone.
"Yea, what's up?"
"Uh, where the fuck are you?"
Lance bit his lip and realised that he hadn't let Pidge know where he was heading, she knew about the school trip but not about his small detour to the marina.
"Oh I went to the Marina for a bit, I'm on my way back now though."
"Lance you gotta let us know. Ron is literally shaking because she thought that your Father had found you."
In all honesty, Lance didn't really care much that they'd been worrying about him. He was too caught up in his own head to even give a shit that they were scared for his safety.
"Uh yea... sorry. I'll let you know next time. I've only been gone for like, 30 minutes though?"
"I know, but a lot can happen in 30 minutes Lance. Even Keith called to ask if I knew where you where, considering the fact that you hadn't answered his messages or phone calls. He said something about your ring showing a weird colour. Just let him know you're alright."
As soon as he heard his soulmates name, Lance felt a small fire burn inside him and a grin plastered across his face.
"Okay, I'll call him on my way home. See you in a bit."
"Okay, bye."
Lance hung up the phone probably a little too eagerly before typing a message to Keith to make sure that he was allowed to call him.
Loverboy: Keith, can I call you? Sorry for not answering for a bit.
Keef: Yea okay.
Lance pressed the call button and stared up at the sky above him, the deep purple colour reminded him of Keith's eyes and he was only brought back into reality when he heard Keith's voice over the phone.
"Lance? What's up?"
Lance felt all tension in his shoulder ease as Keith's voice calmed him.
"Oh, apparently you called Pidge. Sorry for not waking you up, you looked... kinda cute asleep." Lance felt blush creeping up his face, grateful that Keith couldn't see him at that moment.
Keith laughed tiredly and Lance could almost hear him smile. "Oh that's fine, I wish I could've gotten to say goodbye though."
Lance watched the pathway in front of him and stared at the houses around him, getting a sense of where he was.
"Well, I'm just around the corner from your house. I could always climb up and say hello." Although Lance's voice sounded smooth and seductive, inside he was quaking in his gay boots.
"Okay."
Lance imagined Keith in his pyjamas, his messy hair from sleeping.
"I'll come over right now."
After exchanging goodbyes, Lance almost ran to Keith's, the only thing stopping him was the slight ache in his calves from walking for the whole day. Even though Lance should've been tired from the long day of the school trip, he felt almost as if he had just downed 5 black coffees.
Lance laughed at himself mentally, he had never acted this way towards anyone before.
Fuck he was so gay for Keith.
(Sorry the chapters have been getting shorter, I figured if I got this out today it's better than making you kiddos wait for some longer ones. But it's whatever, the next ones will be around the same length of this one because there is gonna be a long one coming up.)
