Fred Weasley x Reader: Crush

"Hi Harry!" You greeted your friend as you walked into the Weasley house, it sure was good to be home. 

"Hey Y/n. Hermione's upstairs with Ginny." He told you. 

"Great, thanks. What're you and Ron going to be doing?" You asked, wanting to keep your options open. 

"We aren't sure, but Hermione and Ginny told us that they really wanted to talk to you. If you want to come down later though, feel free." He said, his green eyes shining behind his round glasses.

"Okay, thanks again!" You called to him, already starting up the stairs. 

"No problem."

Hermione and Ginny were talking with hushed voices in Ginny's room, her room was separate from the boys. Perks of being the only girl. 

Fred and George were dangling an extendable ear down by the room, trying to listen in on Ginny and Hermione's conversation. 

You looked up at them, George waved and Fred winked at you, both of them putting their fingers to their mouths. You rolled your eyes and entered the room. 

Both of them looked up, alert. "Oh, it's just you Y/n." Ginny sighed. 

"Yeah, what're you girls talking about?" You asked them. 

Both of them turned a little pink, "Er, we were wondering..." Hermione trailed off. 

"I mean, after getting over Cedric..." Ginny continued. 

You rolled your eyes to hide your blush. "If this is about who I like, I'm not spilling." 

"But why not?" Ginny pleaded and you turned away from her big brown puppy dog eyes. 

"Because there is absolutely nothing to spill." 

Hermione sat observing you from Ginny's side. "Yeah, that won't be true once we get back into school." She said. 

"And what makes you say that?" You asked curiously. 

Ginny and Hermione shared a look. "What?" Now you were much more interested in the conversation. 

"Oh nothing." Ginny played, knowing she had your attention now.

"C'mon Gin, don't play." 

Hermione glanced at her warningly. 

"Fine." She sighed, you waited. "We can't tell you all the details." 

"Details about what?" You asked anxiously. 

Hermione answered this time, "Y/n, you'll get why we're being so cautious with this once we tell you. You'll start pestering us with more questions." 

"But because we are you're best friends, we're going to tell you the gist of it." Ginny finished. 

"Okay, is it that long? Just get to it already!" These girls and their suspense, they knew that you hated waiting, right?

"It's just that..." Hermione started. 

Ginny interrupted her, "Someone likes you." 

"Wait, what? Really? They told you that? Who? Why? How?" You questioned quickly just as they knew you would. 

"We knew you would do this." Hermione said with an eye roll. 

"We can't tell you whom, or how we found out. No, they didn't tell us, but we heard the boys talking during the summer, and he was talking about you when we walked by." Ginny explained.
