1st year Harry's POV

I walked beside Ron into the massive dining area, the girl with the bushy hair-Hermione Granger and the boy with the toad-Neville in front of us. Hermione wouldn't stop talking about all her knowledge of the castle and when she asked Neville what he knew, he answered with an awkward "uh" and was saved by the woman with the extremely stern expression spoke.

She said something about a sorting hat and called the name of a small girl with a chubby face and rust colored hair. "Hanna Abott" was her name.

A huge tattered hat was placed on her head. The whole of the room waited in suspense before the hat shouted, "Hufflepuff" and the table on the left of us erupted in cheers.

I don't remember most of them, but I do remember hers and how every one gasped loudly at her name. "Y/n Black." Even Professor McGonnagall looked at her with a worried expression.

She was very pretty, her e/c eyes sparkled when they landed on me. Her gaze made me blush and I had to take my eyes to the floor. When I looked back up it was because the Sorting Hat had shouted, "Gryffindor!" She was the first one sorted to another house than Hufflepuff. The cheers of the Gryffindors were much more racous than those of Hufflepuff. They were the table on the far right than Ron told me his brothers were all in.

I'd watched her sit down and shake hands with some other kids. She was smiling and really in her element among all the people. I hadn't even been paying attention when they called my name. So Ron shiver me, "You're up Harry!"

It seemed to take forever, but I was so relieved when the Sorting Hat shouted, "Gryffindor!" And I sat by the girl with the last name: Black.

Second year

I had become really good friends with Y/n in fact, I'd even go as far as calling us best friends. She was really hard to get too, and it took a lot to get her out of her "tough girl" shell. But finally, I succeeded. She trusted me. Although I wasn't sure why this was so predictable to everyone else, especially the teachers. You could always here them mumble, "Potter and Black, what're they up to now?" When we walked by.

Especially when her and I drove that car into the wimping willow. Ron had saved me from the Dursley's that Summer. What I hadn't known was that Y/n's uncle Regulus was off and had left her to the Weasley's as well. When Dobby drakes the gate after Rom and Hermione ran through, Y/n and I had to fly the car there. For the record it was completely her idea.

Third Year

Third year was when things went viral. It was when I found out why it was so predictable that Y/n and I were friends, but it took me a while to connect the dots.

"Sirius Black is and remains to this day, Harry Potter's godfather." We overheard the teachers talking in the Hogshead. Both me and Y/n had to sneak into Hogmeade because neither of us had gotten our permission slips signed.

When we stepped outside, something happened that had never happened before. At least not like this. Y/n slipped her arms around my waist and my heart skipped a beat. She didn't cry, I had yet to see her cry since first year after I'd come back from defeating Voldemort, she hadn't thought I'd make it. But she buried her face into my shirt and hugged me tightly. I didn't say anything, not wanting to ruin the moment with words. I stroked her back gently. "Do you know what this means?" She asked me quietly.

"What?" I asked her, my heart still racing.

"Oh come on Harry, don't you know already. The man they're all talking about, Sirius Black, he's my father. We're godsiblings." She told me  and I pulled away to look into her gorgeous eyes.
