Neville Longbottom x Reader: Bad Girl

"Y/n did you hear? Harry Potter is in our year!" Your twin brother said trying to keep the excitement from his voice and failing.

You pulled your eyes from The Daily Prophet magazine you'd been reading. "Yes Draco I think I heard the first 6 times you told me...in the past hour." You glared at him through your lashes.

"Well I can't help being excited. The most famous boy in the world is our age." He said.

"Are you planning on befriending him  then?" You asked.

"Of course. The best belongs with the best." He said.

You rolled your eyes and returned to your magazine.

You and your brother were early to the platform of course so that you could pick the best seats. The two of you took seats in the back and were joined by Blaise and Pansy a little later.

"Y/n did you hear? Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts! And he's in our year!" Pansy squealed excitedly and you rubbed your head.

"Yes Pansy I've heard."

"Why do you sound so not excited Y/n?" Blaise asked curiously.

"Because I've heard it from Draco 72 times a day every day for the past 3 months." You said. The train started and Pansy, Draco and Blaise were still going on about how they should befriend Harry Potter. You knew he was a big deal and everything but he also brought on the fall of the Dark Lord and you'd learned from your father that he was a great wizard even if he didn't do good things.

"I'm getting some chocolate." You announced not that your friends cared, and walked out of the compartment to get some chocolate frogs from the trolley.

Just before you got to the train an awkward stuttering boy came up to you, "H-have you seen a t-toad?" He asked, his eyes darting around as if the road would be anywhere.

"No I haven't..."

"Oh." The boy said and continued on.

Before he was out of sight though, you remembered your friends going on about Harry Potter and thought, why not stall a little longer.

"But I'll help you look!" You called and the boy paused.

"Really? Thank you!" He exclaimed and you continued with him.

You didn't head back to Draco and your friends until the train was slowing to a stop. "Where have you been?" Blaise asked.

"Long line for the trolley." You lied easily but then you remembered you'd never even gotten to the trolley so you didnt have your chocolate.

"Oh really? Then where is your candy?" He asked with a suspicious glare.

"I ate it." You said. Before Blaise could raise any more suspicion you were being hustled off the train.

You followed the crowd and were seated in a boat with Draco, Pansy and Blaise. You weren't paying attention to your friends as you caught the eye of the nervous boy who had lost his toad; Neville Longbottom. You'd heard of the Longbottoms of course; his parents were great heroes who had gone insane after being tortured by your aunt.

Draco suddenly went rigid as your feet were set on solid ground, "It's him..." he said.

"Who? Where?" You asked shaking yourself out of your thought process.

"Harry Potrer of course. And he's standing right over there." Pansy said with a sigh.

"With the Weasley?" You asked crinkling your nose, you knew a blood traitor when you saw one. And the Weasley's had a rivalry with the Malfoys.
