Draco Malfoy x Reader: Moon Boy

It all started during your 5th year at Hogwarts. You never thought for a second that you would catch feelings for Draco Malfoy of all people. During his first year you called him a wuss to your best friends. You were one year older than Draco and best friends with Fred and George. The three of you were the resident pranksters of Hogwarts. The reason that you'd gotten these feelings was due to one simple night. 

You were waiting in the astronomy for Fred and George to come back after setting up their part of the prank while you made a potion. The astronomy is actually a pretty big room so you didn't know anyone else was in there until you started walking towards the entrance in search of Fred and George. It was taking them an odd amount of time to come back. That was when you saw the pale figure of a boy. You froze immediately and hid behind one of the pillars. He was sitting on the floor, staring up at the stars. His stature reminded you of the moon. After a couple of minutes you realized who he was...Draco Malfoy. You tilted your head, watching him silently from behind the pillar. 

Eventually, he laid back, folding his arms behind his head and started talking to the stars. "Why is everyone around me so filled with hate? Why is this world so hateful? I just don't understand it. No one is ever at peace..." He said, then drifted into silence. 

It was only a couple of lines, but those lines completely touched your soul. He had a point. You heard footsteps and laughing boys coming up the stairs and darted back to your position. You just caught Draco going down through the trap door before Fred and George burst in. 

Ever since then, you'd catch glimpses of your underclassman and be reminded of his figure, shrouded in moonlight and speaking gently to the stars. You never wanted anyone to catch on but....when you stopped participating in Fred and George's pranks, they figured something is up. So they cornered you to ask you about it. 

"N-nothing is going on guys!" You said, waving your hands frantically as you spoke, "I just feel like we're only adding to all the chaos that goes on here anyways!" 

"Chaos is our game N/n." Fred said. 

"Yeah, you've never had a problem with it before." George agreed. 

"Really, I only think we should take a break from this." You said nervously. 

Fred leaned back, crossing his arms and George put his on his hips, "N/n." They said at the same time. "Tell us." 

Your face heated up as you remembered Draco's words about all the hate, "I don't think we should be putting more hate into this school then there already is." 

"Hate?!" They gasped, "N/n, we're only having fun! We spread joy!" They argued mischievously. 

You frowned, "But we cause people pain." 

"Only those who deserve it." Fred said. 

"Yeah, we're planning on doing Malfoy next! Don't you wanna help us with that?" George probed. 

"No! Draco didn't do anything wrong!" You said. They looked at each other and smirked and you realized what they had been doing. "Wait...guys?" 

"You have a thing for Draco don't ya?" Fred accused and George nodded. 

"Don't even try to deny it N/n!" You pouted. 

"So? It doesn't matter anyways, we've never even interacted except during pranks." 

"Then just start talking to him." George encouraged. 

"What? I can't just start talking to him out of no where! He'll think I'm totally weird!"

"Which you are, so it's fine." Fred beamed and you hit him in the stomach. 

"I don't want him to think so!" 

George pointed at the Slytherin table, you looked through the crowd of Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws and Draco was staring at you. He looked away when your eyes met. "He was looking at you!" Fred poked your side. 

"H-hey!" 

"Talk to him~" They chanted. 

"Fine fine!" You knew how stubborn the twins could be, might as well do it. It's not like they were telling you to say anything specific. "I'll talk to him just...after breakfast." You said, taking a large bite in order to stop talking. 

After breakfast they practically shoved you over to where Draco was walking to the owlery. "Hey! Draco!" You called out. 

He turned and upon seeing you, his cheeks were tinged pink. "Oh..." 

"Don't be so disappointed to see me!" You teased with a bright smile, causing him to blush more. 

"If this is about this morning just forget about it." Then he muttered something you almost didn't catch, "I didn't think you'd notice..." 

"Well...I did notice!" You said he looked away, you chose to take the bright and confident route although your heart was pounding out of your chest. Fred and George were always telling you how you look prettier when you're being confident, "So do you-" 

"Look it didn't mean anything so just forget about it!" Draco said, his whole face red up to his ears. He turned away in order to avoid any more talking. 

Your heart sunk at those words and you caught his sleeve, "Hey hey! Don't be like that~" 

"Stop!" He said, "I don't need you to tease me." 

"Tease you? I'm not teasing." You said, finally frowning. 

"Then what is this?" He asked with a sneer. 

"You're the moon boy aren't you?" You asked him, tilting your head with a silly smile. 

"Moon...boy?" He asked. 

You smiled and grabbed his tie, you pulled him over and kissed his cheek. Although he was younger, he was still taller than you. "Meet me at Hogsmeade tomorrow Moon Boy!" 

A/n: This was one of the requests so I hope you like it! The next one is going to be the last one shot for this book and it's going to be more of a platonic one shot rather than a romantic one like most of these have been. :)
