George Weasley x Reader: Cook part 2

There was no way. No way that you'd fall  for your stalker. No way that he'd "make you fall for him". Somehow though, the arrogant trouble-maker was doing it. He constantly bothered you, and now whenever you were in the kitchens, he'd watch you in the open. It made you nervous at first but you had grown accustomed to it. 

It was now Halloween, so you were preparing for the huge feast and the elves were off their rockers stressed out. So you'd told Zach to cancel all the quidditch practices for the week. The next quidditch game was against Gryffindor, and due to George they had cancelled their practices as well. 

"You're lucky Gryffindor hasn't been nailed into practicing by Harry. If they had I'd be dragging you out there no matter what unfinished business you've been doing. Y'know what, you've made odd disappearances every year that you've been on the quidditch team. I know it's impolite to ask, but as your captain I'd like to know." 

"Is that an order or a question?" You asked and Zach was taken aback by your sass. You rubbed your forehead, "I'm sorry Zach I'm just really stressed out." You sighed. 

Zach smiled comfortingly, "No, I'm sorry I shouldn't be forcing things on you. You can keep your secrets. But it seems like you need a break. Next Hogsmeade trip, we're going." 

You flinched, embarrassed, "Er, I'm sorry Zach...I-I can't go. I never got my slip signed." 

Zach looked a little disappointed but the sparkle came back into his eyes as he got an idea. "Y'know what, that's fine. We can go do something even sooner. Meet me in the 7th floor corridor, tomorrow evening."

You smiled, since Halloween was in about 5 days, that gave you plenty of time anyways. "It's a date?" You said in more of a question. 

Zach smiled back, "Yes it is." Then he turned on his heel with a skip in his step.

You headed to the kitchen to tell the elves about your date. Daisy was so excited she bounced up and down on her stool, Dale fell off of his. George, who had arrived 10 minutes before you, stared at you blankly. 

"Did you forget our deal?" He asked. 

"What deal?" 

"The one we made two months ago."

"I made no such deal. You just said you'd make me fall for you, which you haven't done yet. So does that mean I can't date anyone else?" You asked with your hands on your hips. 

George crossed his arms and mumbled. 

You ignored him and fastened your apron, "What're we starting with today?"

Around 6:00, you were finished getting ready for your date with Zach. Daisy and Drusilla helped you pick out a dress to wear but neither could decide which shoes you should wear, so you went looking for George. Instead, you found Fred. At first you thought he was George, until you saw the way he looked at you like he was amused. George didn't look at you like that. 

"Fred, right?" 

"Yes. And you must be Y/n. George talks about you a lot." 

"Speaking of George where is he?" You asked. 

Fred shrugged. "I don't know, haven't seen him since detention with Dumbridge."

You snorted at the nickname, "Well, since I can't find him...which shoes?" You asked. 

Fred pretended to be deep in thought before choosing the black flats. "Thanks!" You called as you left. He took the extra pair of shoes from you and was planning to put them in the kitchen. 

You arrived at the 7th floor corridor to a beaming Zacharias in a fancy tux. "You look spectacular Y/n." 

"As do you!" You giggled and he put out his arm for you. 

He led you to the left and when he stopped in front of a wall, he looked at you proudly. You gave him a confused look, "What is it?" 

He glanced at the wall and he released your hand to touch the wall. "It was right here I swear." 

Before you could figure out what he meant, a hand cupped your mouth and around your waist, pulling you backwards. 

You tried to call for Zach, but the persons hand muffled you. He dragged you into a dark room and accidentally bumped into a desk. 

He released you and you lit your wand and turned to face the kidnapper. "George?!" You asked astonished. 

George was bright red and he was staring at the ground, "H-hey Y/n." 

"What? Why?" 

"Because I can't see you falling for Zacharias Smitten." He grumbled. "You two don't go together, besides you're mine." 

"No I am not. Any chance you had of me falling for you is gone."

8 years later

To believe you could come so far in 8 years. Zach had given up on finding you and the Room of Requirement, where he was supposed to have taken you. You didn't want someone who gave up so easily. 

And as soon as you figured that out, near the end of the year when Fred had told you that him and George were supposed to have left to start their shop, but George was holding out for you, you immediately sought him out. Secretly, you missed him in the kitchens and at quidditch practice and winking at you in Herbology every time you made eye contact. 

George and Fred had immediately invited you to work with them at Weasley's Wizard Weezes. You hated 'Dumbridge' as Fred called her, so you gladly agreed. 

Now, Ron was toasting you and George at your wedding. 

"These two." He laughed, shaking his head, causing the audience to laugh as well. "They have a long history. I'm surprised they didn't get married earlier. But of course there was...the war..." A moment of silence before Ron continued. "I can't describe these things very well. But George started off as her stalker. And they only got together because of Fred. And I know some people told me not to mention him, but he along with George's pure stubbornness brought the happy couple together. They make each other better, I can tell.  The way Hermione makes me smarter, Y/n keeps George from getting into too much trouble. Anyways, enough words, cheers, to Y/n and George, may they have a fruitful life." 

Everyone muttered your names and you kissed your husband. George then stood, "Also, try the food, it's great Y/n and the elves made them."

A/n, ah yes. That was kinda a quick ending, sorry. But guess what? This was part 50!! Woohoo! Finally we made it to 50, I'm so excited and I'm so glad this book made it this far. It's all thanks to you guys. And it's all for you.
