It was the same talk every year, your brother was extremely over protective of you. Actually he was more like a father in a lot of ways. For one thing he was a lot older than you. This year was your last year at Hogwarts and he was still giving you this talk.
"Remember Y/n, don't get in any relationships you'll regret, don't trust any Gryffindors and never ever-"
You finished his statement for him, "Befriend any mudbloods or muggle lovers I know Lucius."
He smiled, "Very good. You're off now."
You hugged your brother and met your friend Selena Jamison at the door. She has brown hair and almond shaped brown eyes and her face always seemed to say 'I'm judging you.' Which was probably true.
"Let me guess, Lucius told you to stay away from Gryffindors again?" She asked.
Selena is the only child of Chris and Felicia Jamison. Her family is close to us Malfoys so your friendship with her was basically planned the day the two of you were conceived.
"Yeah, same thing every year. I dont know why he sticks with it, I've never even had a conversation with a Gryffindor in all my years." You said.
Selena smiled, "And never would we want to."
The two of you walked in and met Rider Morris in a compartment near the back.
Selena and you sat across from Rider. You knew that Rider had a crush on you, but like any noble Malfoy woman, you played it like you didn't even though your wedding to him had been planned since 4th year. "G'day Y/n, how's your Summer?"
"Alright thanks." Before the silence could get to empty Selena spoke up.
"How was your Summer Rider?" She asked.
Rider pulled his eyes from your face, "It was good, we went to a quidditch match in Brazil." He said, glancing at you to see if you were interested, you didn't meet his gaze.
"Wow that's really awesome Rider." Selena said taking his attention again, she droned on about all the dances she had to learn and how many cotillions she had to attend in her favor.

Potions had always been the only class where we had to put up with the Gryffindors, which was good because it was your favorite subject. But now the Gryffindors were apparently on edge with the Ravenclaws so Gryffindor now had D.A.D.A with Slytherin and Transfiguration.
"This is ridiculous. Theres no way this will go well." You vented to Rider and Selena in Slytherin common room.
"I agree with Y/n." Rider stated.
"Let's just hope we wont have to do any projects with them." Selena shuddered and let her words hang in the air between the 3 of you.
~~~~~
In Transfigruation the room was split between Gryffindor and Slytherin, none of them were intermingling. You sat between Rider and a quieter Slytherin boy. Rider was forced to sit by a Gryffindor with shoulder length ginger hair. He was obviously poor, he had patches on the elbows of his robes which were just slightly to small on him even though he should've bough new robes for the year.
"Dude what's up with all the grease in your hair? Do you like not shower?" The ginger boy asked, that was a mistake.
Riders face contorted and got red. "My hair is beautiful.' His voice squeaked in the middle and the boy with the ginger hair laughed.
"Yeah for the 1950s."
I gaped at him and Rider stood up trying to intimidate the boy. "What'd you just say?"
Just as it was about to get good Professor McGonnagall came between the boys. "I think one of you needs to switch spots." Her eyes glanced to mine. "Mr Morris, switch seats with Ms. Malfoy would you?"
You groaned and moved next to the ginger boy.
"Well hey there lovely, you're much more pleasant to look at than Greaser over there."
You rolled your eyes but said nothing.
"Playin hard to get now are ya? Well I know that game. Why don't we skip right to the part where you fall desperately in love with me."
You scoffed unable to hold your tongue, "Why on Earth would I fall for a simple muggle hugging Gryffindor?"
"Hey not all Gryffindors are bad, in fact most of us are good!" He said with a proud smile.
You rolled your eyes, "Like how? All you do is go around puffing your chests acting like you're better than everyone."
"Well at least we dont skulk around and bully kids every where we go." He defended.
"That's stereotype." You said defensively.
"So is saying Gryffindors are all egotistical jerks." He argued, "Tell you what, how about I convince you we arent. Looks like we're gonna be beside each other for a while here." You said nothing but turned to watch McGonnagall begin the lesson.
The ginger boy snagged a seat by you in D.A.D.A and in potions, it was extremely annoying. On the way to lunch you caught him, "Why'd you get s seat by me in every class we have together?"
"I told you I'd prove to you, Gryffindors arent all bad."
