Chapter 39 - Harana

Lori's Point of View

Kasalukuyang nasa rooftop ako ngayon sa isang building ng academy. Hindi rin ako tumagal sa hospital dahil mabilis daw ang paggaling ng katawan ko. Ang lamig ng simoy ng hangin at wala itong halong polusyon.

I like it here, the tranquility, the crisp fresh air, everything and I hope walang magbabago. Dito na rin ako nakapag isip isip tungkol sa sinabi ni Athan nung nasa hospital pa lang kami.

Come to think of it, before all of this happened ang sabi ko sa sarili ko I will go back to him kahit na ano pa man ang ginawa niya. I will listen to him omce again and once I've listened, I will reconsider my feelings towards him.

Speaking of the handsome devil, I can see him from here. May kausap siyang co-teacher niya sa baba at babae ito. Pft, 'di ko sinasabing nagseselos ako pero parang ganon na nga.

"J-just getting some fresh air" palusot niya na taliwas sa kaniyang iniisip. "What do you even care?" Iyan ang nasa isip niya. "Um... Sige aalis na ako" sabay kamot ko sa batok ko.

"Then leave. I don't need you either" ang sabi niya ulit pero hindi lumabas sa mga labi niya. "Okay then" ngumiti siya atsaka tumalikod. Plastic. She thought I can't read her mind?

Well, I can! Biglang nanlaki ang mga mata ko. It hit me, I can read minds, can I? Can I read thoughts or is it just me? Whatever it is kailangan kong makalayo sa kaniya. Athan told me not to get close to her again.

Flashback

It's raining today and I'm still bedridden. May kumatok sa pinto kaya natigil ang pag-iisip ko sa mga bagay-bagay.

"Come in" pumasok naman si Athan na may dalang tray at dalawang tasa na nakapatong dito. "Want some hot chocolate with mallows?" He asked. Sino ba naman ang tatanggi jan?

Binigay niya sa'kin ang tasa na may design na ice cream at sa kaniya naman 'yung cone na design. He gave this to me noong first month naming dalawa.

"Careful, it's hot" pagpapaalala niya and I took a sip. This is so nice, perfect for the weather. "It sure rains heavy today" stating the obvious pero sumang-ayon naman si Athan.

"Athan?" Pagtawag ko sa kaniya at binaling niya ang atensiyon niya sa'kin. "About Eirles" I'm curious, bakit nga ba ako napunta sa katawan niya?

"Can you tell me bakit nangyayari lahat ng ito? Bakit siya nagpanggap bilang Eclipse?" Natigil si Athan sa pag-inom ng hot chocolate niya. "Let me tell you the story" then he took a sip so am I.

"She was Eclipse's bestfriend. She fell for me, that's what Colin said. She supports Eclipse so much but she got jealous because at such young age, Eclipse and I were so lovey-dovey" pagkukwento niya.

Parang may mali dun sa kwento niya banda dun. I dunno, I just feel like it.

"Since nawala si Eclipse, she threw herself at me at patuloy ko siyang pinagtatabuyan. Then, I've had enough of her kaya tinaguan ko siya. And now, she found me and she made them think that she is my fiancé dahil akala niya wala na si Eclipse. She wanted to be her replacement" tumango-tango naman ako dahil kita ko rin naman na gustong gusto niya kay Athan.
