Dean stared as Harry ran out the door.
Everyone sat in silence.
Then Seamus broke it, with a disgusted edge to his voice.
"That homophobic bitch is going to pay for this."
Everyone looked at Ron to see if he would stand up for his girlfriend.
He just sat there, shaking his head.
"HERMIONE JEAN GRANGER!!!!!"
Ginny's scream bounced off the walls.
The group stared after her as she marched up the stairs.
"She's dead scary when she's mad," Ron said, shaking his head. Everyone nodded.
Dean sighed. "I don't think they can get over this."
"I won't," said Neville. "That was not okay."
"She can't just-" Fred started.
"-say things like that and expect us-" George continued.
"-to ignore it. I can't be friends with someone as-"
"-close minded as that," George finished.
Parvati, Angelina, Lavender, and Padma rushed down the stairs. Angelina and Padma threw themselves into George and Fred's laps. Parvati and Lavender plopped down on either side of Neville and demanded to know why Ginny was upstairs screaming at Hermione.
Fred and George explained in their broken sentences what had happened.
Angelina shook her head. "I hate people like that."
Parvati and Padma agreed.
In fact, everyone in their group agreed.
Hermione Granger no longer had friends.
