"So, you're his date, but it's not a date?" Rose questions as I try on what might be the hundredth dress for this my dinner with Seonghwa's family.

"It's a work thing for his dad," I explain once again. "He didn't want to go by himself."

"Since when do people bring their families to work dinners?" She scrunches her nose at me.

"Since now, I guess." I shrug and examine the light blue satin. The dress is nice but conservative enough that I won't feel self-conscious around his parents.

"I like that one," Rose assures me, and I nod.

Finally settled on a dress, Rose and I take the dress to check out, and I notice the blonde girl from the party at the register. "Hey! Did you guys have fun last night?"

"I think so," I laugh, "I woke up with no memory of most of it."

"Did Hongjoong's little brother ever find you? I swear the poor guy was wandering around for a while." Lisa pouts her full lips hopefully.

"Not until this morning," I tell her. "Things got pretty hectic."

"Oh I know, but it was so much fun," she giggles. "Is this dress for tonight?"

"Yeah, how did you know?" I tilt my head out of curiosity.

Lisa smiles and nods behind her at a beautiful maroon dress in a garment bag. "I'm going with Hongjoong. I'm so glad I'll know someone else there. Are you nervous too?"

"A little," I admit.

"Then we can be nervous together," Lisa reasons and hands me my dress in a plastic garment bag. "See you tonight!"

"Bye!" I wave and drag Rose out of the store before Lisa can notice how she's pouting.

"He's bringing her?" She whimpers. "I can't even hate her because she's so nice. Stupid nice, pretty Lisa with her stupid wonderful personality."

I give her a one-armed hug and guide her towards the car. "Maybe you and San can hang out tonight."

"San is hanging out with Yunho," she argues.

"I hardly doubt he would mind bringing you along." I nudge her with my elbow, but she doesn't pick up on the suggestion behind my statement.

"I guess I'll text him," she sighs.

You're welcome, San

Back at the dorms, Rose is back to her usual self as she tugs at my hair to force some loose waves into it. "How is your hair so healthy and shiny and perfect?"

"Because I never style it or bleach it?" I say as if it weren't obvious, and she huffs cutely.

"Well, Seonghwa better appreciate the effort I'm putting in for him."

"Maybe you should be his date tonight then," I joke.

"I should be Hongjoong's date, but apparently dating a resident is 'against his morals'." Rose forces a goofy guy voice at the end of her sentence in a way that does not at all sound like Hongjoong.

"Did he say that?"

"Yep," she sighs softly, "which is why, after drunkenly hitting on him and getting rejected, we're going to have to switch dorms and possibly universities."

"We?" I laugh.

"You'll have to come with me," she reasons.

"Oh, of course." I roll my eyes playfully as she leaves a few final touches on my hair. A gentle knock on the door interrupts Rose's transfer planning and guides me up to my feet.
