I tap Hongjoong on the shoulder just before rethinking my decision when I spot Lisa walking over. Damn her and her perfect body and her stupid gorgeous smile.

"Oh hey, Rose," Hongjoong smiles when he turns to see me. "What's up?"

"Oh uh..." I was going to ask you if I could sit with you for lunch—

"Hey Rosie!" Lisa chirps while taking the seat across from Hongjoong. "Do you have a break in classes? Have a seat!"

As much as I'd like to reject the offer, I've yet to find a single reason to dislike Lisa except that Hongjoong clearly likes her. So instead of run, I take the seat next to her and muster a smile.

"So Joong, how was the engagement party last night?" Lisa asks as I sit down.

"Wild," he chuckles before taking another sip of coffee. "My dad gave another one of his drunk speeches and one of my uncles broke a table."

"How does someone manage to break a table?" Lisa laughs.

"Uncle Joon can break anything," Hongjoong answers just as a man comes up behind him and places a hand on his shoulder.

"I thought my ears were burning," the stranger chuckles.

Hongjoong quickly rises from the table and bows in acknowledgment. "Hi Uncle Namjoon!"

"You mock me and now you make no introductions for your favorite uncle?" His dimpled smile gives away his humor before he's turning to greet me and Lisa. "Good morning girls. I'm Hongjoong's godfather."

Lisa and I stand from the table and give him a polite bow. He's handsome, almost familiar somehow.

"Dad?" June walks over to our table with Sue at her side. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm doing a little espionage," he chuckles.

"You do remember that you run the university?" She mentions.

"Chancellor Kim?" Lisa squeaks in surprise, which only makes him chuckle more.

"Uncle, please, any friend of Joong-ah is part of the family as well." He winks at Hongjoong and I find myself envying Lisa once again. "Anyways, this mission is personal, so I came myself to see it through."

Like clockwork, a group of boys that includes a few familiar faces makes their way into the dining hall. I recognize a couple of them from my classes, but Chancellor Kim seems particularly concerned with the blonde boy in the group.

"That's my daughter's new boyfriend, and so far, all I know is a name and a major. I need a little more detail before I can approve of him." He gives Hongjoong a knowing smile and excuses himself to go greet the boy in question.

"Uncle Namjoon is very protective of EJ noona and June," Hongjoong explains.

"That's so sweet," Lisa looks between the two of us and stands from the table. "Well, I'm off to class now. I have my first assessment in choreography, so wish me luck."
