SUE
"Flipping piece of poop!" Yunho groans as he threads his hands into his hair. He's been working on this assignment for an hour, and I've found way too much amusement in his struggle to complete it.
I cover my mouth in an attempt to contain my laughter, but I can't help myself.
"You're allowed to swear, Yunho," I remind him, and he huffs.
"I don't like those words," he argues with a cute pout as he glares at the computer on his lap. "They're for unintelligent people."
"Ah yes, because 'flipping piece of poop' is much more eloquent wording," I giggle.
"Shut up," he grumbles.
"Who's the grumpy one now?" I ruffle his hair and scoot close enough to look at the screen. "You're taking Chinese?"
"We need to take a foreign language class for the drama major," he says. "And I kind of wanted to...well..."
Realization paints a giddy smile across my face. "You're taking this class for me?"
"I had to take a foreign language class either way." His ears turn an adorable shade of pink. "And I just... I mean kind of..."
"That's the sweetest thing anyone has done for me." Now it's my turn to blush. "I'm really sorry for how I've acted for the past couple of years—"
"You were upset, and I know that your anger wasn't directed at me." He gently grips my chin, knowing that my impulse is to avoid eye-contact in situations like this. "Please don't keep apologizing. I would've been upset if I were in your situation too."
"Do you always know exactly what to say?" I want to pull away, but even more than that, I want to taste those plush lips again.
"Only for you," he barely whispers.
"Well..." Don't pounce on him, Sue. Be the girl he deserves. "In that case, let me help you learn to say it in Chinese."
His eyes sparkle at my suggestion, and I instantly giggle on reflex. Why do I instantly feel like a little high school girl when he looks at me with those big brown eyes?
Yunho sets his laptop on the couch next to him, reaching for my waist and bringing onto his lap now that space is available.
"Yun," I lower my face in embarrassment, "we're literally in the middle of the student lounge."
"You're quite the observationalist today," he jokes before moving his laptop onto my lap, his arms looping around my waist while my legs fall onto the couch beside him. "This way, we can both easily see the screen."
"You're impossible," I huff to hide my amusement.
"You love it." He places a kiss to the back of my shoulder and rests his chin on my shoulder. "Now, shut up and teach me."
ANNA
"So far, so good?" Rose asks me on our way to campus.
"You mean so far, no Seonghwa?" I ask with a total lack of amusement. "I mean, he's in my next class, so I just hope to God that he has the decency to leave me alone."
"What about Mingi?" She asks. "Wasn't he part of that whole thing as well?"
"I can't just avoid him," I tell her. "He's the one who saved me. Plus, we're still partners for class."
"Welcome back!" Yunho chirps as he and Sue join us on our walk to campus.
"How are you feeling?" Sue asks, and I credit the concussion for my hallucination. She takes in my shocked expression and sighs. "I'm trying this thing where I don't act like a bitch, so that being said, I'm sorry for acting like a bitch."
