"Noona," I sigh and sit back in my chair, looking my sister up and down as I try to get a read on her. "Why are you back?"

"Can't I just be back because I missed my little brother?" She asks before sipping her coffee.

"After everything that happened with—"

"—Seonghwa?" Yeji finishes my sentence for me. Her focus is over my shoulder, and when I turn I find the blonde asshole hurrying over to our table.

I stand from my chair and intercept him before he can get close to Yeji. "You stay the fuck away from my noona."

"I'm here for you," he says out of breath.

"And what the hell could you possibly want from me?" I hiss. "Did Anna figure out that you're scum and dump your ass?"

"I told her everything," he tells me honestly, which shocks me.

"Really?" I look back at him with wide eyes. I didn't think he'd ever fess up to what he did to my sister.

"You know how sorry I am about everything that happened with Yeji noona."

"San?" My favorite voice on the planet makes Rose's presence known to me. I look over to see her and Lisa watching me and Seonghwa curiously. "What's going on?"

Seonghwa sighs. "I will get down on my knees and beg forgiveness if you want, but right now, I really need you to come with me."

"I don't want you anywhere near my Noona," I warn him.

"We can keep her company!" Lisa offers, and Rose nods happily.

"Of course!" She chirps sweetly. "I'll text you later. Go take care of whatever is going on."

I don't want to leave Noona, but I know she's okay with Rose and Lisa. Plus, Seonghwa wouldn't be coming to me of all people if he had a choice. "Noona, would you mind?"

"Don't worry, Sannie," Noona assures me. "I don't mind getting to know your friends."

"We need some baby stories about San," Rose giggles as she takes a seat next to my sister.

"Rosie..." I groan, and Noona's eyes light up with recognition.

"So you're Rose." She smiles, making me immediately regret telling her about my crush on Rose.

Dear God, what have I done?

Seonghwa pulls me by my arm away from the girls. "Anna and I had a fight after I told her what happened."

"Well, at least I know she's not an idiot," I say with a roll of my eyes.

"I've been good," Seonghwa insists. "I've been a perfect gentleman for her. I didn't even kiss her until last night because she instigated it. I swear, I'm a different person now."

"Is that why you're coming to me? You're going after Anna to prove that you've changed?"

"Just listen to me, okay?" He continues to pull me out of the cafe and down the road with him. "I was going to take a break from girls altogether, but when she started spending time with Mingi, I wasn't about to let him make her another one of his victims. I didn't think I was going to fall for her this hard, but I don't know it just kind of happened."

"And what do you need me for exactly?" I huff. "I'm not going to convince her to give you another chance. If she's smart she'll stay far away from you."

"She's in the hospital right now," he tells me.

"What the fuck?! What happened to her?" I'm about to sucker punch him, but the look on his face makes me lower my fist.
