It was a quiet night for once in National City... No sirens, no alien alerts, nothing. Just peace.
Alex was at home with Sam and Ruby, watching movies and eating popcorn while cuddling with one another. The two adults were stealing quick kisses when there were action parts they've already seen or a loud, scary jumper in 47 Meters Under... Annnnd eventually sneaking upstairs when Ruby fell asleep on the couch.
J'onn was watching Star Wars with Winn, debating over who was the better Jedi teacher: Obi-Wan or Yoda. Oh, boy.
Nia and Brainy were training, working on how to control her powers down at the Fortress of Solitude. When Kelex would step in, Brainy would immediately try to one-up him, but always ended up a stuttering mess, tripping over his words, ultimately making Nia laugh at his attempts.
Kara and Lena had a great night out. With the blonde able to get the workaholic CEO out of her office for once, they drove around in one of her Mini Coopers, roof down, wind blowing through their hair. They stopped at a drive-through, getting burgers (a vegetarian one for Lena) and fries, complete with milkshakes. When the night began to fall, Kara drove up to a hill and parked on top of it, pulling out a blanket from who knows where she got it from and set it on the hood of the car.
They stargazed, Kara pointing out stellar galaxies, naming otherworldly constellations, ones Lena hasn't even heard of. Eventually, it moved to Lena on top of Kara's chest, arms folded underneath her chin, listening to her tell a Kryptonian story about one of their star constellations, loving her accent whenever she went in and out of Kryptonese, kissing her jaw and chin softly at the end of one, asking her to tell another. While she did so, Kara absentmindedly played with her raven dark hair, tracing patterns of constellations on her lower back with her other hand that was sprawled across there.
When Kara finished telling one out of who knows how many, she looked back at Lena's face, which was illuminated by the full moon and twinkling stars, showing a soft smile. She cocked her head with a small smile. "What?"
"I love you," she said softly. "And just listening to you, being able to speak so freely about it with me."
Kara smiles and kisses her tenderly. "I can talk to you about anything." She supports her head by putting her hand under her head, which was already on a bunched up flannel from earlier, looking up at the stars for a moment before looking back at her girlfriend. "I would steal all the stars and bring them down for you if you wanted."
Lena at first smiled, blushed in the dark, and then rolled her eyes before muttering, "You lovable dork, you." She sits a bit up on her so she could lean down and kiss her properly, grinning when Kara floated them up gently in the sky, their lips still locked on each other.
