"You're fucking kidding me," Lena halfway sighed and muttered, putting her head in her hand. "Kara, hon."

"Yeah, what is it—" Kara stopped as she saw the television with their flight number on it, looking back and forth between Lena, the time the flight was arriving, and the current time now. "No."

"Yes," the brunette groaned. "It's fucking eleven at night, the flight doesn't come till three am, I knew we should've just taken the jet."

"But what was the purpose of this vacation?"

Lena sighs, removing her hand and angling her head back with a sigh. "To get away from National City and have a break from all the stressful shit, including superheroing and anything involving L-Corp and my shenanigans."

"Precisely." Her friend grumbles and fidgets with her long sleeves before Kara takes her hand and leads her to a couple of jointed seats away from the other people waiting in the terminal, putting down their carry-ons. "And you're typically a night person, what's up with that?"

Lena shrugs, pulling her sleeves over her hands. "Anxiety," she mumbles. "It's always been generally there ever since I lived with Lillian, but since Kaznia, it's kinda intensified with planes. And I know, you'll always be there to catch me," she says with a small smile towards her, "but you know. Sometimes it just happens. And if it happens, it happens. I have my methods, good and not so good, and I have you." She lets her fingers slowly unravel from clenching her fabric to open up her hand, which Kara takes quickly, smiling at her. "So what first to cleanse our boredom?"

"I did bring Uno and two sets of regular cards."

"Bring it on, Danvers."

The two played Uno, Go Fish, Solitare, War, and even Kara drew out some card tricks she learned from Alex, surprising the brunette. Forty Questions, Truth or Truth, Game Pigeon games, a few others too. They quizzed each other on the periodic table, Harry Potter, everything else they knew about each other. They giggled and laughed through it all, having physical contact in some sort of way, having long-lasting eye contact.

Soon enough as time passed, Lena fell asleep on Kara's shoulder as she played Candy Crush, stopping every now and then to admire the woman on her shoulder. Smart, kind, generous.. words couldn't describe how much Kara adored her. She closed her phone and rested her head on top of the brunette's, holding her hand as she rested there, still on guard with her heightened senses.

Lena's phone ringing in her hoodie pocket is what woke her up hours later from her nap, sleepily answering it and staying on Kara's shoulder. "Hullo?"

"Hey, Alex has been texting you two non-stop, you were supposed to be in Hawaii by now, are you there?"

Her brow furrowed. "Sam?"

"Yeah, dummy, who else?"

She sighed. "Sorry. Plane got delayed and it's now—" She stopped at the sign on the gate and grinned wide. "It's here. Call you when we get there, bye!" She hangs up quickly and rubs Kara's shoulder. "Kara, sweetie, wake up."

"I'm up," she yawns. "Plane's here, huh?"

"How—" Lena rolls her eyes at herself, smiling at the dopey smile the blonde gives her before she kisses her, surprising them both. "Come on, we've got to go." Kara sits there for a moment, shocked, but hurriedly follows after her with a grin, taking her hand to turn her back around and kiss her again, longer and sweeter, making Lena smile against her mouth, gripper her neck tight to bring her down more.

They separate slowly with matching smiles before Kara grabs her hand. "Hawaii here we come."
