I'm so proud of myself! I actually put forth the effort to look like I actually care about myself today. To some people this might not be much, but for a person like me who literally lives in hoodies and leggings this is a monumental occasion. My twist out actually came out pretty good so that inspired me to do a mini natural beat on my face.

Nothing to extravagant. I seriously need to hit up Sephora and Ulta to restock on makeup. But I think I did a decent job with my look today. I put on an olive colored shirt that laces up the front. I paired that with some light wash jeans and a pair of my black huaraches.

It was now 1:45 and the nail shop is at least a ten minute drive away. I rush around my room grabbing everything I need to throw in my purse. I finally make it to the front door and lock it before I head to my car. Unlike Lauren who has the newest Mercedes I have a 2013 Nissan Altima. This was the first car I was able to save up for and buy completely on my own. It may not be my dream car which is a G Wagon, but it'll do for now.

Finally making it to my car I unlock the doors and quickly get inside. I fasten my seatbelt and make my way to meeting up with Dreka. Once I finally arrive I rush inside because I would hate to have her here waiting on me. Once I get in I see her sitting down going through the wheel of many different gel colors.

What color should I get? Why is this one of the hardest decisions to make in life? I can spend a good ten minutes just trying to figure out what color I want. Then another ten minutes trying to talk myself out of changing the color I just spent the first ten minutes choosing. Ughh!

"Hi boo." I say to an occupied Dreka. She looks at me and gives me the biggest smile. "Hey my baby." She says getting up and embracing me in a big hug I didn't know I needed until I was in her arms. We haven't seen each other since I graduated at the end of May. It's now the end of June. "I'm never going this long without seeing you again." I say as we separate. She laughs while shaking her head agreeing with what I just said.

We both take a seat waiting for someone to tell us to come to the back. "Izzy is upset that she couldn't come with us." Dreka says. "Aww my poor baby! You could have brought her I would have loved to see her." I pout. "I know but mommy needed a few hours to herself. I promised her once we were done that you would come back to the house with me so we can give her her own home spa day." She says making me smile. "Sounds like a plan." I say.
