Dominic

It's been a month. An entire month without hearing her voice. An entire month without see that smile that made me feel like I was worth something to someone. A month since I've been able to hold her in my arms. Damn I miss her.

What did I do? Is the question that has been plaguing my mind for the last thirty days. I'm coming up with nothing. The last real conversation we had was before she left Dreka and Kevin's house to go home.

I can't help but sit here and reflect on what could have went wrong from the last conversation we had.

"So when can a nigga see you again beautiful" I say making her blush.

I can say the simplest things to her and her reactions make me feel the happiest I've ever felt in my life. Her smile and the way her eyes lit up every time I tell her she is beautiful makes me want to spend the rest of my life making sure she knows just how much I mean it.

"Umm I start my internship next week so anytime after 5 on the weekdays whenever you want on the weekends." She says while smiling up at me.

"Well imma plan something, and hit you up about the details. Okay?" I say as my eyes scan her beautiful face not knowing this would be the last time I see her.

If I would have known that, maybe I could have done things differently. Told her that something about her makes me what to be a better man. Kissed her like I would never see her again. But instead I settled for a hug because I wanted to respect the fact that she wants to be friends for now.

I pulled her into a hug in which I wrapped my arms tightly around her body. I place my head in the crook of her neck. Something I have become accustomed to. It's like we fit so perfectly together.

I may never admit this aloud but I believe she was made for me.

Her small petite frame wraps around me as we say our goodbyes. I place a gentle kiss on her neck before letting go.

"Let me know when you get home alright?" I say with all seriousness.

"Okay Dommy." She says rolling her eyes and showcasing that breath taking smile of hers. I can't help but to return the gesture.

"See imma have to come up with an embarrassing name for you now." I say as we walk to her car from the porch.

"Unlike you I'm not going to throw a fit about the name you pick." She says as I open her door for her. She gets in,buckles her seatbelt, and rolls the window down so we can continue our conversation.
