Three Months Later

Today has been the longest day ever. The last few months have been extremely hectic when it comes to my job. The administrative assistant at my bosses practice up and quit because she was offered a new job.

So for the last two months I have been doubling as admin assistant, and still being required to help out with patients along with all the rest of my intern duties.

When I say I'm tired that is an understatement! On a personal note I have been the most at peace that I have ever been in my life, and I owe most of that to Dominic.

We have been basically inseparable for the last three months, and before anyone asks yes we are still just friends. We have pretty much become besties. If I'm not at work I'm with him and vice versa.

I am currently grabbing us some food before I head over to his apartment. It is Friday night, and all I want to do is eat and take a much needed nap. I tend to sleep better at his apartment.

Lauren has recently gotten a part in a movie, and has been having her cast mates over every damn weekend so they can go over lines. Instead of arguing with her about it I just come to Dominic's place. It's peaceful over here, and his energy seems to always put me in a good mood.

Pulling up to his condo, I grab the bag of Chinese food and make my way to his door. Since my hands are full I kick the door a few times to let them know I'm here. I probably should have called him while I was in the car to let him know I was outside, but from the day I had my brain just isn't functioning properly.

Just as I was about to put the food down to grab my phone and call him the door swings open.

"Damn Rae why you banging on the door like you the police? You know we criminals." Kasim says grabbing the food out of my hands.

"I should have known your hungry ass was going to be here." I say while laughing and walking to the kitchen.

"See I know to come over here on the weekends because you alway bringing these niggas food." He says while taking the containers out of the bag.

"Well I'm glad I came prepared for your hungry ass." I say walking further into the kitchen.
