A few days later
A few days have passed since Christmas, and we have all just been enjoying ourselves. It has been nice taking a break from the everyday routine that is our life in Atlanta.
Don't get me wrong I love my home, but every now and then it's nice to get out of the city and go off the grid for a while.
All of that goes out the window today though, because we all are about to leave for our New Years trip to New York. I am so fucking excited! I can't wait to get drunk and as high as my body allows me to get during this trip.
The kids are staying here with Dominic and Kasim's mothers which I am forever grateful for. My children don't take to much to people they don't know that well, but they seem to love them love Ms. Athena and Ms. April. Which is great for us!
We will be in New York for about four or five days. About the same amount of time we have been in Virginia. We wanted to explore the city a bit while we are there, because most of us haven't been before.
I think only Kevin and Dom have been, and that was for some work related shit that I chose to not know the details on.
I am currently sitting in Ms. Athena's living room as I hug and kiss on my babies one last time before we head to the private jetway.
"Mommy's going to miss her babies so much." I say as I kiss on both of my children's faces.
"Mommy why can't we come to New York with you?" Izzy ask with her sad puppy dog eyes that would usually work if I wasn't trying to act a complete fool over the next few days with her daddy.
"Mommy and daddy need to spend some time alone my love. Sometimes you and your brother won't be able to come with us." I respond.
"But you won't be alone Mommy. Uncle Sim, Uncle Dom, and Tete Rae will be there." She says matter of factly. Of course my child has a smart ass mouth and is quick on her toes.
"Well we are having adult time and you aren't an adult so sorry sis." I say giving her a look that says stop pushing your luck.
"I gone miss you mommy." My baby boy says to me poking out his lip instantly making me tear up. He is so attached to me sometimes. I know this will be a little bit of an adjustment for him, but he will have his sister and Aiden to keep him company.
