a/n: Hi! Here's chapter four! Things are starting to pickup more. Hope you enjoy!

Jade's POV

Beep. Beep. Beep. My eyes flutter open at the sound of my alarm. I shut it off and look at the time. 8 am. Exactly twelve hours until Jed is supposed to walk through the front door. Fighting the drowsiness, I get out of bed and start the shower. After, I get changed and start my hair and makeup. We don't have anything scheduled today, so it's one of our off days. It's nice considering we have been in the studio or have press almost everyday.

I walk into the twin's room and lean against the door frame. They look so cute lying asleep. Jasmine is more like me in the sense that she doesn't like being in the spotlight all the time. When she's by herself she'll be quiet and stay entertained. Jolie on the other hand is almost the opposite. Although she is only three minutes older, she takes on that big sister role. Always protecting and looking out for Jaz. Jolie most of the time behaves but out of the two of them, she's the one who will start trouble. While separate, they remain mostly quiet and keep to themselves, when they're together and hyper, it's impossible.

I walk over to Jaz's bed and gently shake her awake. "Hey, babes. Time to wake up," I say softly. She opens her eyes and gives me a small hug. "Morning mamy," she says. Returning the hug, I stand up and walk over to Jolie and do the same. She opens her eyes and asks "Is daddy coming home today?" I smile, "Yes, daddy's coming home today." She grins really wide, "Yay!" she beams.

The girls are very attached to Jed, more than they are to me. I think it's because he's gone a lot so they don't get to see him very often, so when they do it's special. It makes me feel down sometimes when I think about it too much. The fact that when I leave they don't have a problem with it most of the time, but when Jed leaves they are really sad. I know they love me, but I can't help it.

I walk over to their closet and get some clothes out. "You girls get dressed, I'm going to make breakfast okay?" I ask. "Okay," they both respond. I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. I open the pantry and reach for the pancake mix. After making a few and cooking some bacon, I lay it out on two plates and bring it onto the table next to two glasses of orange juice.

I go back upstairs to get the girls. When I walk into their room, I laugh. Jaz had her skirt on and her shirt backwards, while Jolie had her shirt on and her pants were only part of the way on. "Do you girls need some help?" I ask laughing to myself. I guess I overestimated their ability to put on clothes by themselves. When they were dressed, I brushed their hair and put them each in pigtails and brought them downstairs.

The girls ran over to the table, excited to see the food. Every time Jed came home they each got to eat pancakes and bacon. Normally, I just make them cereal, or eggs with fruit because I want them to be at least a little healthy, but these days are a special occasion.

I grab a banana and some water and join the girls at the table. "Why don't you eat pancakes and bacon mamy?" asked Jaz. "Yeah, you always do," added Jolie. "Mamy's not that hungry this morning. But you two eat up, don't worry about mamy," I tell them. We sat and had small conversations until breakfast was over.

*a few hours later*

Buzz. Buzz. I heard my phone going off in the other room. I hurry over to see who it is and see that it's Jed Facetiming me. Hitting answer right away, I see his face for the first time in about a week. "Hey Jed," I answer. "Hi Jadey, How are you?" He asks. "Okay, the girl's are really excited for you to come home," I say smiling. "I asked about you not the girls," he said with an almost strict tone. "I'm good, I can't wait to see you tonight. It's been too long since we've spoken face to face," I say, with a sad tone. "It definitely has been way too long. Can I speak to the girls?" He asks. "Of course," I respond. "Jasmine and Jolie, can you come in here?" I call to them from the other room. Luckily, the were watching tv in the family room, looking confused while running in. "Someone wants to speak with you," I tell them with a smile, holding up the iPad. "Daddy! They both yell, making me laugh. "Hey girls, how are you?" he asks them. "Good," they both respond, "When are you coming home?" Jolie asks. "After dinner," he tells her. "Okay," she says sadly, hoping he would be here sooner. "Hey don't worry, the time will fly by," he says in an attempt to cheer her up. "Okay," she says, a bit happier. The conversation went for about 15 more minutes until Jed had to leave for the airport.

*after dinner*

"Girls, go get your pajamas out from your dresser and I'll be up in a second to help you change," I say as I wash the last dinner plate. The girls went up the stairs, bickering could be heard as they argued over which pajamas to wear to bed. The twins liked to be matching most of the time, when they didn't it was rare. I put the last dish away and walk up the stairs, checking the time on my phone, seeing that it was 7:45, my heart beat a little faster, realizing there were 15 minutes until Jed should be home.

As I finished helping the girls change, I hear the car door outside. "Hey, I think daddy's home," I say to the girls smiling. They both looked at me with big grins on their face. "Downstairs?" Jaz asks. "Yeah, let's go," I say, taking both of their hands and walking down the steps.

As soon as we reach the bottom, the door swings open. "Daddy!" the twins yell before Jed even has a chance to put his bag down. They run over and hug him. He returns the hug and kisses both of them on their foreheads. He then looks up and walks over to me, giving me a peck on the lips and a huge hug. We stood like that for what felt like minutes and didn't break away until Jolie said the door was still open. "Oh, thanks sweetie," he says as he closes the door.

After Jed got settled and the girls went to bed, we went upstairs into our room. I was in bed reading my book while Jed finished getting ready for bed. "You're so cute when you're being a nerd," he said, making both of us laugh. "I want to talk to you," I tell him nervously. "Okay, what about?" he asks as he gets into bed, going under the covers. I turn to face him, "I'm sorry," I said to him, his faced looking a bit confused and shocked. "For what?" he asks. "For fighting with you over dumb things for the past few weeks. I know we haven't been getting along for most of the time you've been gone, and the girls are starting to notice." I continue, "So, I just wanted to say I'm sorry, for all of it." He looks at me with sad eyes. "Babe, you don't have to be sorry at all. I'm the one who's sorry that I made you stress out about all of it. I'm just as much, if not more to blame for arguing, if I hadn't initiated some things that you weren't ready for, we wouldn't have fought at all," he apologizes. He pulls me in for a hug, at that point I couldn't help but let the tears fall. I'm not sure if they were nervous tears or relief tears, but I'm just glad this was over.
