Perrie's POV:
I stretched in bed at I began to wake up. It felt so good to be in our own home again. We've been on "break" for about two months. I use the term "break" lightly because even though we're not touring, we are still doing interviews and writing for our next album. Our management has agreed to relax on any performances until I have the baby. I softly walked down the hallway and into the kitchen. I turned on the kettle and pulled out my phone. I texted the girls to make sure they were up and getting ready. They all agreed to come baby shopping with me since I'm about five months. I felt huge, but the girls keep telling me how cute I look even though I don't feel like it. I pour my tea into a to go cup and go back upstairs to get ready. I threw on a loose fitting shirt that framed my bump and some leggings. Not the cutest outfit, but it's comfortable, especially considering my back has been in a lot of pain.
Leigh offered to drive all of us, so I waited outside for her to pull up. We live the closest to each other and Jesy lives the farthest to be closer to her mum. Jade lives in the city so she's close to everything.
"Why are we letting you drive again?" I ask after she stops really quickly at a stop sign. "Oh hush you. I thought this joke was put to rest," she said. "It's not a joke," I said laughing. She gives me an evil but joking look and I roll my eyes playfully at her. We reach Jesy's house and she climbs into the backseat. "So what theme were you thinking for the nursery?" Jesy asked. "I was hoping to go for a sports theme. Alex is really hoping he'll be into sports like him and Izzy so I thought that would be cute," I said smiling. "That's adorable," Leigh says. We pull up in front of Jade's house and she Jed's car in the driveway. She hops into the backseat next to Jesy. "Someone had a fun night," Jesy says, nudging her. "Shush you, we didn't do anything," Jade said. "Okay," Jesy said, holding her hands up.
Our first stop was a furniture store we could get tall the things for his room in. We quickly picked out the crib, carseat, changing table, etc. "Wow pez, you're on a roll," Jesy says as I place another thing into the car. "I have done this before. I know what worked and what didn't," I say proudly. We picked up the last few things including a rocking chair, a stroller, and a high chair. "You didn't keep any of Izzy's old things?" Jade asked. "If I'm being honest, I didn't think we were having any more," I said, laughing.
We then went to a decoration place to grab some pictures and toys to put in his room. I grabbed some pictures of sports and put them in the basket. I also grabbed a few different toys that were related to athletes.
We went to a baby store to grab some clothes. "These are adorable," I say, holding one of the onesies up. "He's going to be so small," Leigh says, cooing at all the small clothes. "Look at this," Jade says holding up a onesie that had an elephant on it. My heart melted. I rubbed small circles on my stomach and kept my hand there as I looked around. We did a fairly good job picking everything out. I know exactly what I wanted so that made it easy.
We got back to my house and went upstairs to the empty room. "This is going to be the nursery," I say leading them into the bedroom. Alex had already painted it a few days ago a pretty light blue color. "This is perfect," Leigh said. We recruited Alex to make the furniture while us girls got all of the decorations out of the boxes and laid out everything we bought.
Once Alex was done building everything, him and the girls helped move the furniture into its place since I couldn't lift anything. We then got out the decorations and placed them on the shelves and walls. "This is so cute!" I said, getting excited. I put all of the clothes in a laundry basket so I can wash them before putting them away. "Thank you girls for helping me. I don't know what I'd do," I say. "No problem babe," Leigh says smiling at me.
