AND PERRIE AND LEIGH KEPT LOOKING AT ME AND SMILING AND IM DEAD. if you want i can post a separate chapter with some videos because i took a few good ones. but overall i'm so incredibly grateful to have been able to go and it was literally the best night of my life. i can't wait for tonight :)
Leigh's POV:
"Jacob, you ready?" I shout across the house. "Almost," he shouts back. Today was Jacob's first day of school. I think I'm more nervous than he is.
I walk upstairs and into his room. He had on his school uniform and was putting stuff in his bag. "Do you have everything?" I ask. He nods his head. "Okay, let me see," I say grabbing the bag.
He had everything, folders, pencils, paper. I was rather impressed. "Good job, buddy!" I said messing with his hair. "Mum!" he yells, running over to the mirror with a hair brush.
I laugh as he tries to brush it. I can't believe he's already doing that. "Come on," I say holding out my hand for him. He grabs and we walk downstairs. "Go put you're shoes on, i'll grab you're lunchbox," I said.
He nods and runs into the mud room. I walk into the kitchen and grab his freshly made lunch and join him. He had one sneaker on.
"Help please," he said. I laugh and bend down. I put on the other shoe and tie both of them. "Thank you," he said standing up.
"Andre, you ready?" I call. "Yes," I heard him call back. He comes into the room holding Rhea and the car keys.
He hands me the keys and we head into the garage. Andre puts Rhea into her car seat and I put Jacob in his booster seat. I hop in the driver seat and Andre in the passenger.
"You excited baba?" I ask. "Yeah! I can't wait to play and make friends," he said smiling. "I'm sure you'll have a ton of friends," I say.
We arrive at the school and Andre and I get the kids out. I hold Jacob's hand and Andre holds Rhea's.
We enter the front building and walk to his classroom. "This is it," I said once we reach the outside of the door.
"You ready?" I ask. "Yeah, bye Mum," he said giving me a quick hug and walking into the door.
"Well, I guess he was ready," Andre says laughing. "You're not going to be like are you?" I ask Rhea, who curls up into Andre's side.
"There's your answer," Andre says laughing. "Come on, let's go," I say as we head back out to the car.
We didn't have to pick Jacob up for a while, so I invited the girls and their kids over. They all came gradually and the kids and adults spilt into separate rooms.
"How did Jacobs first day of school go?" Perrie asks, taking a seat on the couch. "Really good, he was so excited to get there, let's see how he is once we pick him up," I say.
"You're not going to school for a long time," Perrie says to Luke, who is laying half asleep in his carrier.
"That's weird to think our kids start school next year," Jade says. "I can't imagine them not being with me 24/7."
"I don't know how I'm going to get Rhea to school. She'll barely speak to me and Andre," I say. "You've got a while, she'll be fine." Jesy says reassuringly. I smile in return and hear the kids come running in.
"We want to do a talent show for you," Izzy says to all of us. "Okay, blow me away," Perrie says.
"I'll go first," Izzy says. She then takes out her pretend microphone and begins to sing "Under the Sea" from "The Little Mermaid."
I've heard Izzy sing quite a few times. She has a really nice voice even though she's still young, you can tell she'll be good when she's older. Her voice isn't very powerful like Perrie's but more light and angelic, it's very beautiful and cute.
Once her song was done she bowed and walked away. Perrie was all smiles and cheered really loud.
Sophie walked on and requested Jesy to play music. Jesy played "Woman Like Me," and Sophie begin dancing.
She's wasn't bad considering she's three years old. She was really getting into and you could tell she was having fun.
Once her turn was over, she did a curtesy and ran off. I gave Jesy an impressed look and Jesy was smiling from ear-to-ear.
Jaz walked on timidly and began singing "Over the Rainbow." It was adorable. She has a really pretty and cute voice.
Once her song was over, I looked to Jade who had teared up a bit. "That was beautiful," she said as Jaz ran off.
Last but not least, Jolie walked on with her Little Mix microphone. Jade started playing "Power" and Jolie began singing.
I hadn't ever heard her sing before but I was shocked needless to say. She was amazing. Hitting all of Perrie's notes and just had a really powerful and big voice for such a young and small person.
Once her song was over, all us girls exchanged some looks. The kids ran back in front of us and held hands bowing.
"Who won?" Sophie said. "I think everyone is a winner here. There is a lot of talent with you all," Perrie says.
The kids cheered and than ran back into the room with Rhea. Once they left, I turned to Jade.
"Did you know Jolie could sing like that?" I ask her shocked. "Yeah, she's amazing isn't she," Jade said smiling. "He voice is unbelievable for being four years old," Perrie says. "You've a got a Beyoncé in the making there," Jesy said poking Jade.
"I could say the same for you, Sophie was killing it. Are you going to enroll her in dance classes?" Jade asks.
"I think so. I want to look around at some studios and see which one I like the best. But she loves dancing so she's excited," Jesy says.
After a while, the girls and kids left, leaving just me, Andre, and Rhea. "It's so quite without him here," I say. "Yeah, it's weird isn't it?" Andre says.
"Should we go get him?" I ask looking at the time. "Yeah, he's done soon," he says.
We hop in the car and drive to the school. Once we get there, we walk into the pickup section and join the dozens of other parent waiting.
Suddenly a door opens and tons of kids run out. Jacob sees us and runs over. He gives me and Andre both a hug.
"Did you like it?" I asked. "I loved it!" he said smiling. The whole way home he talked nonstop about friends he made, sports he played, and how everyone was really nice.
"I hope this lasts forever," I say to Andre who nods and grins in response
