Leigh's POV:

"You almost ready babe?" I asked Andre as I finished packing up a case. "Yes, I can't wait to get out of here," he said while attempting to tie his shoe. "Here, let me do it," I said, seeing as he was struggling quite a bit. "You know I can tie my own shoe," he said. "Let me baby you, just this once," I said as more of a demand than a question. He finally relaxed back in the bed and let me tie it.

Today was Andre's discharge day. The past week had just been filled with last minute tests and scans. Everything came back normal, meaning that he could go home.

"What's the first thing you're going to do?" I ask, folding a shirt. "Hm, probably play with the kids a little. I've only seen them a few times this week," he said sadly. The kids have been in and out of the hospital. I didn't want them hanging out here for too long because it's boring for a little kid and I want don't want it scaring little Rhea.

"Are you sure you want to pick up the kids on the way home? Jade said she could watch them for longer if you want to et settled first," I said zipping up the last bag. "No, it's okay. I miss them," he said. I smile as I put the bag over my shoulder. Andre hops up out of bed and moves onto his crutches. His ankle is healing nicely, but he's still not allowed to walk on it for another week or two.

We went down to the lobby and checked out at the front desk. We filled out the last few papers before we walked outside. Andre has a friend who works at the hospital, so he very graciously offered to bring the car around front. Sure enough as we walked out, our car was pulled up in front of the hospital.

"Thanks man," Andre said giving him a fist bump as he handed me the keys. "Of course, get better soon okay?" he said. "I will," Andre said sincerely. I opened his car door and helped him into the car, which he didn't need much of considering he had figured out how to use the crutches pretty well. I walked around to the other side and started the car.

We began driving to Jade's house. We talked about everything he'd missed while being laid up. While it wasn't much, he seemed very interested in all of it.

As we pulled up in front of Jade's house, the front door opened, revealing Jade, Jacob, and Rhea. Jacob ran over to the car, jumping up and down. "Hey bud!" I said laughing at his excitement and gave him a hug. Jade walked over carrying Rhea and her bag.

I took Rhea from her and placed her bag next to Jacob's in the trunk. "Thanks for watching them," I said. "Of course, they're welcome anytime. They're angels," Jade said. I opened the car door and put Rhea in her carseat. Jacob slid in next to her.

"Get better," Jade shouted to the open door. "I will. Tell Kaiden that when I'm better we're going to play with that football," he shouted back. "Okay, I will," Jade said laughing. I gave her a quick hug before climbing back int the car. "You all ready to go home?" I asked. They all nodded their heads and we began to drive home.

Once we got home, the kids brought their toys out in the living room while Andre propped his foot up on the couch. I walked in, handing him a glass of water and taking the seat next to him. "Thank you," he said, taking a sip.

I curled up into him and I felt his arm wrap around me. "I missed you," I said. "Same. But I'm here now, and that's all that matters," he said. I felt him kiss the top of my head, making me smile. Everything felt like it was falling back into place.
