Time Ahead

chapter fifteen

a/n: hi! here's chapter 15! also, sorry if it seems like leigh's pov isn't in the story that much. that's because some stuff is going to happen later on with her where, the other three night not be in as much so i'm trying to make it pretty even. enjoy!

*two months later

Perrie's POV:

Today is quite a big day. We're going to be announcing Jade's pregnancy to the public, telling the management, and the biggest one, telling Jed. She is about 5 months right now and it's getting harder to hide it. The fans have started to notice too that's she's wearing baggy clothing and not posting full body pictures, some even noticed her tiny bump at the album release party a while back. I spent the night at her house last night because I knew she was going to be nervous.

I walk down the stairs to see the twins sitting at the table eating some fruit and Jade making some tea in the kitchen. "Good morning," I said to her when I walk in the kitchen. "Hey, how'd you sleep? Sorry it was a little loud, the twins couldn't fall asleep," she says apologetically. "No it's fine, really. I slept great," I say reassuringly. "Do you want a cup of tea?" she asks me. "Babe, you go sit, let me get it," I say. "Are you sure? You're the guest, I feel bad making you do it," she says. "You're five months pregnant. Go sit," I say, "How's the little guy?" She smiles, "He's good, aside from the kicking me in the ribs," she says, sitting down. "What did the doctor say at your last appointment?" I ask her, handing her a cup of tea. "He said he's growing a lot more. He's still under weight but not as much," she said while taking a sip of her tea. Her bump had grown a lot, but it still doesn't look like she's five months, more like three and a half. 

Once the plates were cleaned up and the girls went upstairs to play, we sat on the couch. "Are you ready to call him?" I ask her. "No, but it's better to get it over with," she said picking up her phone. She pressed his contact and it started ringing. "Hello?" Jed said, while Jade put it on speaker phone. "Hey, I have something to tell you," she says, her voice shaking a little bit. "Well, get on with it," he says in a rude way. I grab her free hand before she speaks, "I'm pregnant," she says. The line was silent for a few moments. "Well there's no point in keeping it now," he says. I feel her tense up. "What do you mean?" she asks. "I know you're not dumb enough to believe it was an accident, so you're getting an abortion right?" he says in a monotone voice. "No, I'm keeping it," she says. "Oh, okay," he says in a sarcastic tone, "You, are going to raise three kids by yourself, no way," he says. I look over and see the tears building up in her eyes. "I just thought that you should know," she said before hanging up the phone. "Aww babe, come here," I say, pulling her into a hug. "He's right though," she said. "What?" I ask confused. "I can't raise three kids," she says, crying more. "Babe, you'll do great, and like I said before, just give any of us a call, and we'll be there," I say making her relax. She nods and slowly calms down.

Jade's POV:

Later on we head to the label where we have a meeting with management. We're going to be talking about tour and The Brit Awards, so I'm going to bring up the baby then. Once everyone arrives, we go into the meeting room and meet our manager, and the rest of the management.

"So," they started, "this album so far is doing incredibly well, congrats," someone from management says. "The tour is going to start in the fall. You will perform in Europe, Asia, and Australia before Christmas, and a few days after, start touring in major cities in the US." I relax a little, my due date is in August, so i'll have a month before tour starts. "For The Brit Awards," he starts again, "We're thinking of performing the new single in a more stripped back version so it's a little more powerful and the message gets across." Once again, I take another sigh of relief, glad there won't be too much dancing. "We have one more surprise. This year, you'll have your own private jet, so your families can come along and traveling will be easier!" All of our jaws dropped. "Thank you so much!" we all say. "No problem, do any of you have anything to add?" he asks. "Actually, I do," I speak up, "I have an announcement, I'm pregnant," I say, scared of the response. All of their faces were shocked and I felt Leigh grab my hand. "Congratulations!" our manager says giving me a hug. "How far along?" she asks. "Five months," I say. "That's perfect, you'll have a little time to rest before tour, as long as you don't mind bringing a newborn with you," she says smiling. It was nice to have a good reaction after the last one.

After leaving the label, I go home. I open the door to greet my mam and the twins. "Hey mamy!" Jaz shouts. I say goodbye to my mam and go sit on the couch. The last thing for today is to tell the mixers about the baby. I think of different ways I could announce it until I finally figure it out. "Girls, we have to go to the store real quick," I call to them. I buckle them into their carseats, and drive to the store. Once we get there, I search for the kids' clothing section. Once I find it I look around until I see two pink shirts on a rack that read, "I'm a big sister." I grab them and we head over to the baby section. I grab a onesie that has mickey mouse ears on them and we go pay for our things.

Once we get back home, I put the girls in their matching shirts and put them in matching braids. I pose them against the wall, holding up the onesie. I take the picture and go to post it. After putting a filter on it, I caption the picture, "four months, three weeks, and five days until." I post the picture and immediately shut my phone off. I get the twins ready for bed and tuck them in. Then, I go change into my pajamas. I crawl into bed and start checking the comments. "OMG" "I'M SO EXCITED" "ANOTHER MEMBER OF THE FAMILY" I smiled, it's nice knowing that the mixers have my back no matter what. I turn off my light and drift to sleep.
