Jesy's POV:

"What if we went on a vacation?" I ask taking a seat on the couch. "What is up with you lately?" Chris asks looking up from his phone. "What do you mean?" I asked giving him a confused look. "You're not wanting to just sit in the house," he said. "I feel like I just need change," I said sitting back into the couch. "Okay, so what do you want to do? Take a vacation, redo a room?" Chris offered. "I want to adopt again," I said looking over to Chris, scared to see his expression.

To my surprise, he had a smile on his face. "I thought you'd never ask," Chris said. "Really?" I asked surprised. "Yeah," he said scooting closer to me. "So, are we going to get another one?" I ask. "I wouldn't use that sentence, but yes we are," Chris said chuckling. I laughed and leaned in for a kiss. When our lips met we pulled away and gave each other a hug.

"Hi, I'm looking to adopt," I said calling the adoption agency. We chose a different service than Sophie's to help out a kid who's more "in need." This one was located in North London, with most of the kids being under three. "Okay, we can make a meeting to sit down and meet all the kids," the lady said happily over the phone. "Okay, that sounds great," I said with a smile.

We ended up making an appointment for the next day around two. We dropped Sophie off with Perrie before making our way up. When we reached the building it looked lovely. I was a brick building with fun colors and drawings on the inside. Chris opened the door for me and we found the front desk.

"Hello, we have an appointment for two with Sam," I said to the lady at the desk. "Okay, she will be right out. You can take a seat it won't be long," she said. "Thank you," I said as Chris and I took a seat in the small lobby area.

I looked around saw lots of drawing of flowers, action figures, and houses. It broke my heart knowing that these kids didn't have a home. "Look," Chris said pointing across the room. There was a window that showed into a room with a bunch of kids. They were all sat around an older lady who was reading a story. "Aw, I wish we could take all of them home," I said. "One at a time please," Chris said laughing. I roll my eyes and give him a playful shove to the arm.

"Jesy and Chris?" a lady asked as she approached us. "That's us, you must be Sam," I said reaching out to shake her hand, Chris doing the same. "Yes, nice to meet you. You can just follow me into my office," she said motioning us into a little room around the corner.

We sat down in the chairs as she took a seat in front of her computer. "Okay, I see here you already adopted a little girl about a year ago," she said reading a file. "Yes, Sophie," Chris said. "How is she? I  met her once before she got placed in the other adoption center," Sam said. "She's wonderful," I said smiling. "Is there any requirements for what you're looking for? Age, gender?" she asked. "Not specifically. We both been saying how we want a boy, but we wouldn't mind another girl too," I said. "That's great. We can go meet the kids and you can talk to them if you'd like?" she asked. We both nodded and she led us out to where the kids were playing.

"They just finished story time and now they have a little bit of free time before dinner. All the kids in this center are looking for homes. Permanent, adoption, whatever. They are harder to place since these kids come from bad places. So many of them struggle with PTSD and abandonment," she explained. My heart broke as she spoke. Who would abandon any of these kids?

We walked into a giant room filled with toys. Some kids were coloring at a table. Others playing with the dollhouse. Chris and I started walking over to the coloring table first. "Hi, what are you drawing?" I asked a little boy. "A firetruck," he said excitedly, not taking his eyes off the paper. "It looks great!" Chris enthused. "Thanks," the kid said. We walked a few more steps over to another little boy who was playing with the crayons.

"Aw, he's adorable," I said to Chris. "This is Noah. Can you say hi?" a lady who was sat next to the boy asked. He turned to face us and waved. He had brown hair and brown eyes. "What are you drawing?" Chris asked. "Music," Noah said. "He loves anything music. Michael Jackson is his favorite," the lady said chuckling. "How old is he?" Chris asked. "About a year and a half," she said. I saw Chris look at me an in the moment, I knew exactly what he was thinking, we have our boy.
