Time Ahead

chapter fourteen

a/n: hi! here's chapter 14! the girls are in la and i live in florida, but it's fine lol. also there's probably going to be some mistakes, half of it is edited and the other half isn't. i skimmed through it but i need to post another part so yeah. enjoy!

*next friday

Jesy's POV:

Today was the day our album get's released. All of us are nervous but still really excited. It's supposed to drop at midnight, but we have an album release party at the label at 7, where we're going to release it to a small group of fans.

It's about 4:30, so I start getting ready. We all have matching dresses in different variations. Mine is black with some lace on the sleeves and neckline. I'm wearing some silver heels with it. Once I'm dressed, I finish my makeup and start on my hair, which I just curl. "Hey, you look amazing," I hear Chris say from the doorway. I turn around and there he is, sitting in his wheel chair smiling at me. I smile back, kissing him. "Do you need help with anything?" I ask him. "No, I'm good. You have fun tonight," he says, still smiling. "Are you sure? I feel kind of guilty that I get to go out while you're stuck here," I say, my smile going away. "You have nothing to feel guilty about," he says taking my hand, "Like I said, i'll be fine." I smile again, "Okay," I say, giving him another kiss.

I get to the label around 6, which is when we're supposed to meet. To my surprise, everyone's already there. "Wow, it's weird not being the first one here," I say laughing. "We finally beat you!" Perrie says also laughing. We all start warming up. We are singing a few of the songs that were already released along with some older ones. "Am I the only one nervous?" I hear Leigh say. "No, I mean, this is our first official album since we've started our families, Jade says, "We've only been releasing singles." It's true. When the LM5 tour was over, everything kind of happened at once. Once Leigh got pregnant, we decided to not have any too packed years until they were grown a little. But, it's time to get back to our original schedule. So tour and traveling is going to be interesting. "Are you ladies ready?" the backstage person says, knocking on our day. "As ready as we'll ever be," I hear Perrie say under her breath.

We start walking onto the small stage in front of maybe fifty people. As soon as stepped foot on there, cheers were heard all around, making us smile. "How's everyone tonight?" I ask. The crowd just cheered. "Are you ready to hear the new album?" Perrie asks. Some yes's were heard. We sang a few of our older songs before moving into the newer ones. "Are you ready to hear some newer songs?" Jade asks. Some more yes's were heard. After we sang some of our released songs, it was time to play the album. "Now, it's time to hear the album!" I say, the audience responding with cheers. About half way through we talk again. "Does anyone have any questions yet?" Leigh asks. I say a hand in the back. "You do?" I say pointing to the girl. "Are any of these songs based on real life experiences?" she asks. "Actually yeah. The first few are very sentimental because we wrote them based on some of the judgement we received for our families," Leigh says. "Anyone else?" Perrie asks. Another hand goes up in the front. "You," I say. "Where are you all going to be touring this year?" he asks. "We are going to be doing our normal venues in Europe, Asia, and Australia, followed by some new ones in the US!" Jade says. The audience responded with cheers. We've never toured in the US on our own, so it will be fun to experience that.

We listened to the rest of the album and answered a few more questions, until it was time to take pictures with fans and have a meet and greet. We walked around the venue talking to new people and hearing their feedback. Which was amazing, so far everyone loves it. By then it was nearing 10, so we decided to go back to my house so we can see the rest of the world's reaction to it.

We go inside and sit in the living room, where Chris soon joins us. Each of us were individually looking through social media, responding to fans, following them, and looking at their edits. "Look at this," Leigh said, showing her phone to us. It was a drawing of all of us at the Teen Awards. "Wow, some of these fans are really talented," I say. A few minutes later Perrie tells us to watch this video. It was the funniest moments so far of our new "era" we'll call it. I had completely forgotten about some of these moments. A few of them had us laughing our heads off. "What was wrong with us?" Perrie said once the video ended. "I honestly have no idea," Leigh says. "The sad thing is, we haven't changed," I said with an accent, making us laugh harder. "I love you guys," Perrie says, still laughing.

When it was a few minutes before midnight, we all hurried onto to social media again to see the responses. A few minutes after midnight people started tweeting stuff like, "QUEENS!" "WIG SNATCHED" and "I LOVE IT" which made us all relax a little. I was scrolling through comments on our recent tweet and saw a comment that said, "I hope Jade and Jed get back together. There's no way she's going to be able to raise her family by herself," I frowned at the comment and quickly looked over at Jade who was scrolling through Instagram. I quickly deleted the comment hoping she didn't see it.

We all fell asleep at some point, and didn't wake up until Chris woke us all up by shouting, "Girls, check your emails!" Confused and still groggily, we each opened up our emails to see a message from The Brit Awards. The email said, "Congrats, you are nominated for two awards, Best Group and Best Single. You will also be performing!" We all looked at each other smiling. "We did it!" I say jumping up off the coach. We all formed a group hug. "Can I go back to sleep now?" Perrie asked, making us all laugh while we continued to celebrate.
