Perrie's POV:

I wake up in my bed groggily. I roll over and check the time on my phone, it reads "5:08" A.M. "Ugh," I mutter under my breath. I close my eyes and try to fall back asleep.

I toss and turn for about an hour before deciding just to get up. I get out of bed feeling defeated. Something isn't right. I'm just not feeling myself, if I'm being honest, I haven't been for the past week. On top of all of that, my stomach has been in knots for a few days too. I walk quietly out the door into the living room. I smile seeing Jade sitting on the couch. She's always up early because of Kaiden so it felt nice knowing I wasn't alone. She looks at me confused and a little shocked. "What are you doing awake?" She asks. "It's 6:30." I plop down on the couch beside her. "I know, it's scaring me to," I say. "Are you okay?" she asks. "I don't know. I haven't been feeling well for a few days, I think it's just a bug," I say. "Symptoms?" she asks, being the doctor she is. "Uh, headache, stomachache, and tired," I say. She thinks for a second. "It sounds like the start of the flu. I'll get you some medicine," she says getting up. "Thanks," I say, curling up with the blanket beside me. She hands me two tablets and I take them before falling asleep.

I woke up with a massive headache. I sigh, opening my eyes and sitting up. "Hey, you're awake!" Jesy said. "How are you feeling?" Leigh asks sitting next to me. "Jade told us what was up." I shake my head. "I honestly feel worse than I did before," I say. "Well it's been a few hours so the medicine might have worn off. You can probably take some more in a little bit," she said. I nod my head and rest it against my hand. "Where's Alex and Izzy?" I ask looking around, noting that they were missing. "Alex took Izzy to swimming convention," Jesy said. I nod in realization. I completely forgot they had that. It's a convention where famous Olympic swimmers do interviews and all that, Izzy loves it. "Do you want to go to the doctor?" Leigh asks. I shake my head. "No, i'll be fine," I say. Leigh nods her head and turns on the tv.

Later that day, I woke up from my second nap of the day. "Hey, you okay?" I hear a familiar voice ask. I rub my eyes and see Jade sitting on the chair near me. "I guess, I'm still not feeling right," I say frustrated. "Where is everyone?" I ask. "They all went to dinner and then desert," she said. "Why didn't you go?" I ask. "I didn't want to leave you alone. Alex was going to stay but didn't want Izzy to catch on that you weren't feeling well. Also Kaiden was being fussy so I thought it was better if I stay," she said. "Oh, thank you for staying," I say smiling. I readjust myself on the couch and the room in quiet for a minute or so. "Hey, listen," Jade says with a concerned voice. "Yeah?" I ask confused. "I'm starting to think it isn't a bug," she says. I stare at her in confusion. "What do you mean?" I ask, still not catching on. "Are you late?" she asked. I think for a second before nodding, my eyes went wide. "There's no way," I said. "Your symptoms were very similar to mine so you might want to check, she says. "Yeah," I say dumbfounded. "Do you want to go grab a test?" she asks. "No, i'll do it later," I say. "Perrie," she says with a serious tone. "Yeah," I say, giving in. I stand up to grab my shoes and Jade places a reassuring hand on my shoulder.

We quickly went to the store and grabbed a test and brought it back unnoticed. There's no way I'm pregnant I think to myself, absolutely no way. I open the test and look at it. "Are you okay?" Jade asked. "Yeah," I say nonchalantly. I go into the bathroom and take the test before coming back out and setting a timer. "It's funny how these roles were reserved a year ago," she says. "Yeah," I say laughing. I waited the three minutes totally fine. When the timer went off, I reach for the test. I flipped it over, it read positive. I dropped the test and tears start to fill my eyes. "There's no way," I choke out. Jade immediately holds me in her arms, whispering things to try to soothe me. "But, how?" I say shocked. "Do I need to tell you how?" Jade asks jokingly, trying to make me laugh, in which she succeeded. After a minute she let go. "Are you okay?" she asks. "Yeah, it's just, I really didn't think I was," I say. "I'm more shocked than upset," I add. "Well, congratulations!" she says. "I'm so excited for you!" I smile and place my hand on my stomach. Wow, this is happening. "Kaiden's going to have a playmate," I say excited. Jade smiles at that. "When are you going to tell Alex?" she asks. "I probably will after I go to the doctor to confirm everything. He worries about this type of stuff a lot so I want to make sure everything is okay first," I say. She nods,"How do you think Izzy will react?" she asks. "I'm hoping well. We've been bringing it up slightly to her. This has been a discussion topic for a while I just didn't think it would happen so soon," I said smiling. "Well, I'm happy it did," she said.
