Perrie's POV:

I left the pool about an hour ago. I told Izzy I had to go to the doctors for a check up and left it at that. She didn't seem to pick up on anything and went back to playing games with the kids.

Alex was on his way back from the stadium and I got ready to leave. I rinsed off in the shower and lightly blow-dryer my hair. I only put on a little mascara, letting my freckles show. I threw on a loose-fitting romper and some sandals. Alex had texted me to come down, so I grabbed my purse and found him in the lobby. "How was the pool?" he asked, giving me a kiss. "It was great, how was the stadium?" I asked. "It was really good, we had a lot of fun," he said. "That's wonderful," I said. At that point our car had pulled up so I grabbed Alex's hand and headed over.

We drove over in a peaceful silence before arriving at the doctor. Since we aren't back home, none of us had been here before. We walked inside and took it all in. Alex went to check us in and I sat in an empty chair. The waiting room was nice and welcoming. The office itself wasn't very busy either. The only people there besides us were a couple and a woman with a baby. By then, Alex had joined me and caught me staring. "What are you look at?" he asked, sitting down. The question startled me. I didn't realize I had been staring. "That will be us soon," I whispered, motioning to the woman with the baby. "It sure will be," he said smiling. He reached over and placed his hand on my stomach, he rubbed it before moving it back.

"Chamberlain?" a nurse called from the doorway. We stood up and followed the nurse into our room. The nurse did all of the basic stuff like take my temperature and blood pressure. "Everything looks great, the doctor will be in shortly," the nurse said before leaving. "See, everything is fine," Alex said trying to reassure me. "So far," I mumbled.

The doctor came in after a few minutes. "Hey, how are you feeling Mrs. Chamberlain?" he asks in a thick Irish accent. "Good, almost too good," I said. "Well, let's have a look," he said. He poured the cool gel on my stomach and Alex grabbed my hand. He the placed the wand on my bump and moved it around. Suddenly, a loud thumping noise filled the room. I let out a sigh of relief when I heard that. I also felt Alex relax too. "Everything looks good," he said, taking a few pictures. "Would you like to know the gender?" he asked. "Could you write it down?" I ask. "Of course," he said. He wrote something down on a piece of paper and handed the envelope to us. "I would recommend scheduling another appointment next month just for a regular checkup, wherever you'll be at the time," he said. "So, there's nothing wrong?" I ask. "Nope, not a bit" he said reassuring. "Even though i've had no symptoms?" I ask. "Did you have a lot during your first pregnancy?" he asks. "No, not really," I say. "Then you must just handle pregnancy really well. It's different for everyone, you're just lucky," he said. I nodded and he left the room. I looked at one of the pictures and smiled. "I'm so excited," I beamed.

a/n: sorry it's shorter than normal i kinda split one day into two chapters. i just watched the trailer for jesy's documentary and i'm so excited but also sad. i was okay until it showed both her and jade crying and that got me. i also read about her suicide attempt and i'm heartbroken. i had no idea granted, i wasn't really a fan of them back then like i am now but still. she is such an incredible  person and doesn't deserve any of this hate. i hope she knows that us and the girls are there for her no matter what <3
