a/n: here's chapter 10! enjoy!
*two weeks later
Leigh POV:
It's been two weeks since we found out Jade's pregnant. We also have our first performance for our new single tonight at the Teen Awards. We're nominated for two awards, so that's exciting. Normally, when we have the award shows and just some shows in general, our kids come and watch. It's so fun to look in the crowd and see them singing with us.
We have to meet at the venue to get ready at about 2. The show doesn't start until six but we have hair and makeup before along with the carpet. Looking at clock, it's about 1:30. "Hey babe," I say to Andre, "I'm going to get going. I'll see you all tonight," I say to Jacob and Rhea. "Mamy, I have a special surprise tonight!" said Jacob with a huge smile. "Do you now?" I say picking him up and giving him a kiss on the cheek. "Bye, love you," I say to all of them, giving each of them a kiss.
When I arrive, Jesy is already there getting ready. "How are you so early to everything?" I ask her putting my bag down. "We'll for starters I don't have children. And I have to look good tonight," she says winking. I roll my eyes, making us both laugh. "How's Chris?" I ask. "Pretty good today actually. He had a doctor's appointment earlier today and he is reacting to pain so that's a start," she says proudly. "That's great!" I say giving her a hug. "Excuse me, don't mess up my makeup," she says with an accent, making us laugh again.
A little while later, Perrie and Jade show up. "We'll its about time," Jesy says with a silly tone. "Sorry, it got late and then we got stuck in traffic," Perrie says apologetically. I look over at Jade, who looks tired and pale. "Hey Jade, are you okay?" I ask concerned. "Yeah, just no sleep mixed with morning sickness," she says starting her makeup. "Has it been that bad?" I ask. She responds with a nod and out of the corner of my eye I see Perrie nodding her head too. "When's your doctor's appointment?" Jesy asks. "A few days," she answers. "You sure you'll be okay for tonight?" Jesy asks. "Yeah, i'll be fine," she says reassuringly.
We spend the next few hours getting ready. "Wow, we look amazing," Perrie says taking out her phone, "We're taking a picture." Jesy rolls her eyes, "Because we won't be taking 5,000 out there?" she asks. "Well, I want my own," she says smiling. "Fine," Jesy agrees. After the picture it's time to go out. "Ready?" the manager asks. "Yes," we all say in unison, making us all grin.
On the carpet, the paps took loads of pictures and in interviews we just talked about our new single, nothing too special. After, we get back into the dressing room. We're performing pretty early on in the show, so we don't get to stay dressed up for too long.
We change into our costumes and touch up our hair and makeup. It felt like we were only in there for five minutes when the backstage worker came to get us. We all walked backstage, hand in hand, until it was our time to go on. "This next performance is one to remember, presenting Little Mix!" the announcer says. We all walk on and get in our spots. The music starts and we start dancing. It wasn't until our second song that I saw the kids and Andre. We sang the new single and Woman Like Me. During my verse I looked over to the right side of the crowd and saw all the kids standing and dancing, with the husbands smiling from ear to ear. It warmed my heart and gave me some new confidence for the rest of the song.
We finished and went back to the dressing room to touch up our hair and makeup before we joined our family in the audience. We usually just stay in costume because there's only half the show left so there's no point in changing our outfits again. "We did amazing!" I hear Perrie shout once we step into the dressing room. That was followed by chanting from the rest of us. "Come here!" I say, motioning them to give me a hug. They all got up and walked over, making a group hug. "I love you guys," I hear Jade say. Once we break away, we do some quick touch ups. "Are you all ready to see the families?" I hear Perrie say. Everyone responded with some nods. "Okay, let's go," I say, following everyone out the door.
