Time Ahead

chapter forty

*2 months later
Perrie's POV:
My alarm startled me awake. I open my eyes slowly and sit up on the bed. We had finished our UK part of our tour and have now moved on to different parts of Europe. We are currently in Amsterdam right now, and will be be in Belgium tomorrow. We had a great show last night so I wasn't surprised when I slept until noon. I get out from under the covers and go to stand up. The wood felt cold on my feet. I sneak out of the bedroom and move out into the kitchen. For this particular show, we all got our own separate suits. It felt weird the space being so empty, but we always ended up spending most of our day in one room.
I start a cup of tea since I can no longer drink coffee. "Don't worry l, you're worth it," I whisper, rubbing my stomach. I had my first doctors appointment about 2 months ago, where I found out I was about five weeks. Now, two months my stomach is growing pretty quickly. I already have a cute little bump. Luckily, the fans haven't noticed since most the clothes I wear aren't tight and our costumes are baggy.
Soft footsteps woke me awake from my daydream. I turn my head to see Izzy walking down the small hallway. "Hi babe, how did you sleep?" I asked her, reaching out my arms to her. "Good," she said, accepting my hug. We haven't told her about the baby yet. We're finding out the gender at our doctor appointment next week so we'll probably tell her after that. The girls are already planning the gender reveal party and have kept it under wraps really well. "What are we doing today, mamy?" Izzy asked. "I don't know babe," I say grabbing my finished cup of tea. "What do you want to do?" I ask her. She thinks for a second. "Can we take pictures?" she asked sweetly. "Sure babe," I say smiling. I knew what she was talking about. She wanted to do a photoshoot. She loves taking pictures and we go out around London and South Shields all the time. "I'll ask everyone and see who wants to go," I say. "Okay," she says.
Once Alex was awake, I went back into the bedroom to change. I went for a basic t-shirt and some jeans. Thankfully, my jeans still fit so I could still wear them. I left my hair in its natural-wavy state and put very light makeup on. Izzy ran into my room once I was done asking for me to get her ready. All the girls said they were going to come while the guys took the boys to a football field to play. I picked out some light blue overalls with a white shirt under and put her hair into two french braids. "Do you like it?" I asked her, moving her towards the mirror. "I love it!" she said, skipping out into the living room happily.
We walked down to the lobby where we were meeting everyone else. Jesy came down shortly after with Sophie who was dressed in a pink tank top and a blue skirt. Her light brown hair in curls. "You look so cute!" I say to Sophie. "Thank you," she said shyly. Leigh came with Rhea who was in a yellow dress and her hair in a perfect bun. "I love your hair!" Jesy says to her. She just smiles at her. Jade came down with Jaz and Jolie a few minutes later. Both wearing purple rompers with their hair in their natural curls, arguing over who got to hold Jade's hand since her purse was in the other. Alex has offered to take Kaiden with them so now Jade's attention was fully on them. "Girls, stop," Jade said firmly to them. "I wish I had twins," I said when I saw them in matching outfits. "Well, you never know," Leigh says smirking. We all looked at her wide eyed. "I mean you could always adopt," Leigh said realizing what she said. She whispered a "sorry" to me and I gave her a reassuring face. I looked over at Izzy who was too busy talking to Jaz to notice what Leigh said.
We walked around downtown by the shops for pictures. Making our way over to a nearby park before stopping for lunch. We popped into a few shops on the way back for some souvenirs for the kids, finishing our trip at a local ice cream place. After taking cute pictures, we eventually made it back to the hotel, all of us gathering in Leigh's room. We pulled the pictures up onto the computer and scrolled through them, finding our favorites to post. I came across one of Izzy that was my favorite. She was holding her ice cream cone with rainbow sprinkles on the sidewalk. I immediately posted i on Instagram with the caption "best day off." Cheesy, but sweet.
Once the kids were off in Rhea and Jacob's room playing, us girls started chatting. "Which gender are you hoping for?" Leigh asks. "I know Alex wants a boy to play football with and honestly I kind of agree with him. A boy would be really cute. I wouldn't mind having another girl so Izzy has a sister bond, but I'm secretly hoping for a boy," I say, placing my hand on my slightly swollen stomach. "Are you sure you're okay with being pregnant on tour?" Jade asked. "I mean, the Europe tour will be over in four months and than we have three and a half months off before the Asian leg. So i'll be hopefully having him or her then," I say. "Are you sure you want to bring a newborn on tour?" Jesy asks. "I know it's hard, seeing from Jade, but I'm sure it will be fine," I say. "Remember, we're here to help," Jade said smiling. "I will, thank you," I say, smiling back. "No problem babes," Jesy says. We spent the rest of the night peacefully hanging out with each other like old times, knowing it will all change once again.
a/n: so, i'm not sure if everyone's aware but right now there is a hurricane coming right to where i live. it's supposed to hit in a few days so i'm not sure how active i will be because i will be preparing for it. i also don't know how long it will be until i update after it hits. it just depends on whether we'll have power or not and how long. right now it's at a category 3 which is pretty bad and it's currently a direct hit, so i'm sorry for my lack of updates in the next two weeks or so.
