Jade's POV:
I sit and look at the outfits in front of me. I'm still trying to figure out what to wear for this "date" with Jed, if that's even what it is. I sit on the bed feeling defeated and Jesy walks in. "Do you want some help?" she asks. "Please," I say desperately. Jesy looks at the outfits I brought and picks up a nice top and a skirt. "This one, it will work for a dinner and a date," she said smirking at me. "Look, I don't even know if that's what it is," I say. "Would you be okay with it if it was?" she asks. "Yeah, I really miss him," I say honestly. "Than tell him that," she says rubbing my back. I nod at her advice and check the time on my phone. "Oh, i've got to go. Call me if the kids need anything," I say hurrying out of my room. "Of course," I hear Jesy say before I leave.
I sit at the table anxiously. Scanning the people who enter the door. After a few minutes, I see him walk in, he looks like he's carrying something. "Hey," he says sitting down across from me. "Hi, how are you?" I say. "I'm well, what about you?" he asks. "I'm good," I say. There was a feeling of awkwardness between us. "Oh, I got these for you," he says, handing me a bouquet of flowers. "Oh, thank you. They're lovely," I say smiling. "So, why did you ask me here tonight?" I finally ask. He runs his hands through his hair nervously. "I wanted to see how you were doing. Not Jaz, not Jolie, not Kaiden, you," he says. I look down at my hands. "Honestly, i've been struggling, a lot. It's hard being single with two toddlers and a newborn," I say honestly. "I'm sorry I did that to you," he says. "No, it's my fault. I'm the one who didn't let you see them," I say. "Jade, stop blaming yourself from everything. I ruined our marriage, I didn't even try to help you, and I'm truly sorry," he says genuinely. "Thanks," I say and look into his eyes. "I didn't just ask you here to see how you are, I wanted to see if you would take me back. It's killing me not seeing the kids everyday, but more importantly, I miss seeing you everyday," he says. I process what he says careful before I speak. "It might take me a while before we get back to where we were, but if we take it slowly, I'd be okay with starting over," I say. "Really?" he says shocked. "Yeah," I say smiling.
We ate our meal and chatted. When it was time to leave he payed the bill and walked me to the car. "Thanks Jade, I promise to be better this time," he says. Suddenly I feel us leaning into each other and our lips kissing. We both pull away kind of surprised. "Goodnight," I say smiling. "Night," he says walking back to his car, his gaze staying on my for a few seconds. I get into the car grinning.
I walk down the hall of the hotel, making my way to our suite. I open the door and the girls are sitting on the couch. "Hi, were you all waiting for me to come back?" I say confused. "Maybe," Leigh says. "How was your date? " Jesy asked, emphasizing the word date. "It was really good," I say smiling. "So it was a date?" Leigh asks surprised. "Yeah, we're starting over, slowly," I say. "Well, I'm happy for you, and I'm sure the kids will be excited too," Jesy says. "Yeah," I say still smiling. Perrie was being really quiet, and it looks like she was annoyed almost. "I've gotta go do something," she said walking into her room. "Is she okay?" I ask once she's gone. "I don't know. She's been acting like that since you left," Jesy said. I nod slowly, confused on what's going on.
The next morning I woke up pretty early. Surprisingly Kaiden slept through almost the whole night so I feel like I had a new burst of energy. I walk out to the kitchen area and make a cup of coffee. While the water is heating up, Perrie walks out of her room. "Morning," I say cheerfully. She gives me a small, fake smile and walks over to the couch and turns on the tv. "Do you wan any coffee?" I ask. "No," she says kind of short. I nod and finish mine and sit on one of the chairs nearby. She had a frown while watching the tv. "What's wrong?" I ask her. "Nothing, everything's great," she says sarcastically. I stay quiet, not wanting to start anything. "You don't see it do you Jade?" she asks with a tone. "What do you mean?" I ask, thrown back at her attitude. "He's using you," she says. "He's using you to get to the kids and once he grows tired of the family thing, he'll do it again," she says. It makes sense now, she's mad about Jed. "He's changed," I say. "No, he wants you to think he's changed, but he hasn't," she says. "He broke you," she adds. "He didn't break me, he made me stronger," I say. "Whatever," she says. Before I have time to answer, Kaiden starts crying from my room. "We're not done with this," I say walking into my room.
