One week after Riverdale High's absorption of its Southside counterpart, and everything was the same, yet nothing was the same. The town was preparing to honor its founding father, General Augustus Pickens. Meanwhile, Clemintine was stopping Jughead in the hallway to ask a troubling question.
"Hey." Clemintine took a hold of Jughead's arm. He looked at the girl questionably. "Can you explain why Sweet Pea has hated me since starting school here?"
By now, the students of Riverdale knew of the Serpents hatred for the blonde girl that he was once so fond of. Every chance he got, he made Clemintine's life miserable. Not even Jughead could stop the boy from his tangents.
"What do you mean?" Jughead asked.
"He ignores my texts, ignores me in class and leaves whenever I enter a room. Not to mention all the times he's gone out of his way to be rude. It's like he's back in the mindset of when we first met." Clemintine quickly explained.
Jughead sighed, hanging his head. He looked back at Clemintine. "It's something to do with Fangs. You're going to have to ask him."
"No, no, no." Clemintine stopped Jughead from trying to walk away once again. "I'm not going on a wild goose chase to get an answer. You're not telling me the whole story."
"Look, it's not my place to say. If you don't want a goose chase, go straight to the source. I'm washing my hands of the whole thing." Jughead held up his hands. "I'm sorry."
"Okay." Clemintine nodded in understanding. "Thanks, Jug."
It was surprisingly quick how fast Clemintine found Sweet Pea. She cut him off in the hall quickly. "What's your deal?" He questioned.
"My deal?"
"Yeah. Have you gone deaf, or is it because you're blonde?" Sweet Pea grumbled. He moved around the short girl.
She was quick to follow. "You've been an asshole, you know? Can you at least tell me what I did?"
Sweet Pea stopped, turning to face the girl. "That redhead bitch was right."
"About?"
"You were cuter when you were quiet."
"Screw you, Sweet Pea." Clemintine turned away, holding back tears that began to well in her eyes.

Fangs sat down beside Clemintine, holding out an apple. She looked away from him. She suddenly found it harder to hold back the tears.
"I didn't poison it." Fangs dropped his outstretched hand. He watched Clemintine bring her sleeve up to her face. "Is everything okay?" She didn't respond. Fangs took ahold of the girls arm, forcing her to face him. "Sunny, you can talk to me. What's going on?"
"I-" She chocked on her words. "I don't know what I did wrong."
Fangs' eyebrows furrowed. "With what? What are you talking about?"
"Sweet Pea."
That was all the answer Fangs needed. He pulled the girl into his chest. "He's only taking his anger out on you, you didn't do anything wrong."
