Broken plates are oftentimes a result of a moment of anger —or maybe even a clumsy slip of the hand. Some say breaking plates is therapeutic; and I highly fucking agree. Because seeing broken ceramic on the floor, knowing you caused this damage, sometimes satisfies the urge to kill an actual human being.
And that's what I think Elias was trying to accomplish while screaming at Maeva. The dining room looked horrific from Lexus and I's reference frame.
Shards of glass everywhere, ceramic plates meeting their tragic end by hitting the marble floor, screams and shouts flying around like arrows of two tribes at war.
The door was only a crack open, but I could still see Elias' eyes tearing up. He's crying for her... that's so sweet.
"You can't get rid of him." His voice cracked. "I want this." Elias brought up his hand to stroke Maeva's cheek gently and his other hand rested on her stomach. Is Maeva pregnant? A tear rolled off Maeva's cheeks. "I'm not ready..." she trailed off.
"We're going to do this together." Elias replied. And as I looked at their tender love for each other, feeling Lexus' presence behind me, I knew I would never have something like this with him.
"Come out, Thana." Maeva chuckled through tears. My eyes grew wide — busted! I then noticed the wet sensation assaulting my face. I'd been crying.
I awkwardly opened the door, tears staining my red cheeks. "I'm sorry, but we heard crashing glass and-" I started explaining, but Lexus' hand landed on my shoulder and stopped me from speaking. "Congratulations, Maeva." Lexus spoke.
"Thank you." Maeva curtly replied. She can't stand Lexus. "Thank you, brother." Elias added and Lexus pulled him into a hug.
"I never expected you to become a father." Lexus chuckled.
"Maeva, let's go to my room and have a celebration." I laughed and hugged her.
*Night and day were having a race. A race for victory. To see who would govern the in-between's skies.
By now, you could spot the thin white line peaking from the pitch black sky. Day was triumphing. But how long will the day reign, until night prevails once more?
It is then that I saw that life is a continuous loop of exchange between dark and light. They alternated in the most exquisite way possible.
This day felt different. It's been a week since my moment with Lexus and Maeva's pregnancy.
Jacoby's presence was less prominent than usual, and that was not a good sign. I could feel Jacoby plotting and planning behind velvet drapes and promises of being King, but what intrigues me most, is that he still hasn't asked for a crown matrimonial.
As I sat at Lucifer's desk, going over documents of lands in the Kingdom, I heard footsteps growing closer to the room. The door opened to reveal Jacoby. Just great.
"Well, if it isn't my blackmailing fiancée. What can I do for you today? Have another proposal for me?" I sarcastically stated. Jacoby ran his fingers through his soft curly locks. Why am I still checking this fucker out? "I wish we would act more as a couple." He smirked.
