third person point of view
Breaking away from the kiss, Roger had never felt happier in his life, his smile shone like all the stars in the sky as he saw Olivia's eyes light up as she fully took in how beautiful the ring was.
"Rog, y-you shouldn't have!"
"Only for you, I love you. So much."
She squeals in delight as she is picked up by her love once again, twirling her in a circle and putting her down, asking that question he knew she was waiting for him to ask.
"How 'bout, we go and tell the others, hm?"
"YES!" She gasps in delight as she grabs his hand and runs towards Brian and Chrissie who were already walking towards them, camera and film in Chrissie's hand as Brian opens his arms as Olivia tears away from Roger's grasp and jumps into his arms as he hugs her tightly, before putting her down.
Roger isn't the slightest phased by this, remembering that all the band members were your best friends as well as his, and he trusted all of them and he knew it would be mature of him not to get worked or riled up about a generously big hug from Brian.
So he didn't.
"Congratulations! To the both of you." He said after putting Olivia down and walking over to bring Roger into a hug, clapping his back.
"Do you know how long we've been waiting for this day, Roger?!" Chrissie exclaims as she kisses his cheek. "Congratulations!"
"Thanks Bri, Chrissie, 'means so much to us." He exclaimed wrapping an arms around Olivia's waist as she tries to break away to run back to the rug and tell the others, cooing her and kissing the frown off her lips when she does.
"Gotta wait for me, love." He says, breaking away from the quick peck as she intently smirks.
"Race you back?" She asks, letting go of his hand before beginning to run before he chuckles and tries to catch up to her, but her sporty personality really got the better of him as he was clearly losing at this two person game.
This is one of the things Roger loved about her, always so mature and helping him with critical problems and how to go about life, yet, can be so playful and childish it makes his heart burst a million times more then it already does when he's with her.
He ended up pretty close to her, but she won and celebrated by squealing, throwing her arms up as John turned around, clearly shocked by her sudden presence as he caught her as she jumped into his arms.
Roger came to a slow halt as John spoke up. "Why you running and making me catch you, hm?" He asked as she dug her head nervously into his shoulder, Roger sensing she was fearing his reaction of learning his younger sister had just became engaged.
His question caught the attention of everyone else sitting around the rug, even Freddie as he turned around from a further distance where he was smoking away from Alana and Veronica, where she was feeding her daughter at a bit of a distance.
She perks her head up in response and brings her hand up in front of John's face, his eyes doing a double take as he sees her ring finger, going to question it when Freddie puts out his cigarette and runs over to Roger, grasping him in a manly hug.
