"Rapunzel is... a princess?" Jack says in realization. "Yes," North said, nodding his head. Jack chuckles. "Okay, okay... I really need to go now. I promised... her highness that I only went for some firewood," said Jack, standing up & walking for the door. "Not so fast, Frost," said North. Jack turns around to see North marching towards him. "W-what...?" he asks. "That is why we brought you here. Princess is in danger, you see," said North.
"What!?"

The rays of the morning sun touch the stone walls of the DunBroch castle. They enter the windows & shd light inside the castle. Including the feisty princess' room. Merida feels the sun on her cheeks & got up. Excited. Today was another day with no lessons, no expectations. She gets her bow & arrows, dresses up & goes down the stairs. However, standing in her way is...
"Merida!"
"Ahh!!" Merida exclaims as she was shocked to see this person here. "Mum?" she blinks her eyes, holding tightly on the hand railings. "Get down there & recite your poetry," said the Queen firmly, anger in her eyes as she climbed up the stairs past Merida. "But I thought..."
"... There were no lessons for today? Let me refresh your memory: you sneaked in last night. Maudie told me so. She saw you come in the back door. She even saw a boy talking to you before you came in," said the Queen while Merida walked to the middle of the room. "A boy? What boy?" she pretends to be innocent. The princess knew very well what her mother was talking about. Maudie was still in the kitchen at that time at night? Who knew? She knew she didn't. Not even close. Merida gulps because her mother already knows.
"So..." her voice fades. "Merida, a princess does not stay up at night for secret meetings with commoners," her mother says, "especially boys. If your father heard of this, he will be furious," she adds. "Why is it wrong to meet up with boys & not wrong to let our daughter marry someone she doesn't even know...?" Merida whispers to herself.
"I heard that," the Queen said. Merida groans. "I don't want to get married, mother. It's unfair," Merida argues. "Because of your irrational action yesterday, the bethrothal has been moved to tomorrow instead of next week," said the Queen.
"What!?"

In that cottage in the outskirts of Berk sat Hiccup in front of his desk. With a charcoal pencil in his hand & a notebook on the desk, he drew his new friend, Toothless the Night Fury. In other pages, he also drew his other new friends;
Rapunzel who yearned for freedom from her tower. Could she have seen the lanterns yet?
Jack who wanted others to see him. Maybe other kids can see him now?
Merida who wants to stop her betrothal. Wonder if her suitors are still going to meet her.
He also wondered if they thought about him, too.
Suddenly, a loud set of footsteps came banging in his cottage. "Hiccup? Are you here?" he hears a voice.
It's his dad, Berk's chief: Stoick the Vast.
"D-dad!" Hiccup stammers as he tries to keep his notebook hidden. "Oh! There you are, son," said the big man. He made his way through the cluttered floor of the cottage. "Uh... hey, dad. S-so how was your search?" asked Hiccup. "Not important now, Hiccup. This is what's important," his father gives him a sealed envelope.
Hm... the seal looks awfully familiar...
Hiccup opens the letter. "Remember the said arrangement to meet with the Lords of the Clans?" said Stoick. Hiccup looked up at his father before he even got to at least skim through the letter. "It's moved tomorrow, son,"
"W-what!?"

A/N: A very short chapter... *cries in the corner in disappointment* But! I'll make a longer one. Promise! Main reason for this A/N is that Star has stopped her author business. Why? Well, let's say she kinda quit in it. Probably gave up a bit. I'm trying to get her help me again but I decided to let her be.
