Jayden
Keep going, keep going. You almost bought yourself a window before backup arrives. I tell myself as I run past the dead bodies on the pavement. I duck behind a car as I reload my gun. I continuously pay attention to my surroundings as I look for the perfect shot. The area becomes silent as every involved wait for the slightest sound.
Using the broken glass on the ground to scope the area, I see an officer to the right of me and one to the left. Quietly and swiftly I run left and duck behind a trash bin. The officer's back is to me as he stands his position. Stealthily I walk up to him without making a sound. I place my hand on his mouth and wrap my arm around his neck and begin twisting his neck until I feel each part crack within my fingertips. His body drops to my feet and I take over his position.
I hold my position until I see an officer peaking up from his hiding place and with perfect precision, I send 9mm crashing through his skull. This was the window I was waiting for. I run down the street looking for a car to steal when my earpiece started ringing. I tap the button and answer.
"Wassup?"
"Aye boss, it's not looking too good out there, surveillance shows cops heading your way."
"How much time do I have left?"
"Estimated time is about 60 seconds."
I quicken my strides to find a vehicle. The sounds of sirens grow louder and I pulled out my gun. I was running out of time I had to think fast.

Amerie
I was driving through Grove Park headed to my friend's house to work. I hated driving through Grove Park since I moved to Atlanta almost every bad dream I ever had I was always in Grove Park and it ended up with me dead. The streets were surprisingly empty which was unusual. I stop ahead and the red light and pull my phone out my bag, just my luck it was dead. I slip the phone back Into my bag. The sounds of sirens cause me to look up. I look to my right and then in front of me and finally to the left where my eyes were starring down the barrel of a gun.
I knew it! I knew Grove park was eventually going to kill me, dreams don't lie. As I look at this gun in my face my hands immediately grip the steering wheel. Sure Amerie you could just speed off and hope for the best but instead, you're currently paralyzed with fear.
"Get out the car." the man holding the gun said to me.
"Give me a reason to.' I replied looking away from the item that will end me in less than two seconds. What the hell was wrong with me? Amerie has nobody ever taught you what to do in situations like this? Are you trying to get yourself killed?
"I said Get out!" he shouted his hand gripping the weapon tighter. I could see his veins in his arms popping out. I look to him and see his jaw clenched and his eyes cold. I might actually die today... great.
I take my seatbelt off, push open the door, and hop out. This man was almost if not exactly a foot taller than me. He towered over me there was no way I was escaping this. Just then the area fills with sirens. Red and blue lights dance around me and before I could react his arm wrapped around my neck and he pointed his gun.
"Y'all already know what the fuck going on, give me what I want and I'll go on about my day."
"And if we dont?" the officer holding the megaphone says.
