Jayden

Last night was hell. She would sleep for a few before she would panic and wake herself up. At one point I tried to wipe her tears and she flinched. They really fucked her up man.

We slept with the lights on which was something I wasn't use to but she was too scared to sleep with them off.

It was eight in the morning and even though I was tired I was wide awake.I watch her as she sleeps for awhile before the sound of rain hitting the roof catches my attention. I could tell today was finna be a shitty day.

The sound of thunder makes her wake up and she looks around. She was laying on my arm but there was space between our bodies.

"What was that?" She ask.

"It was just thunder."

"Are you sure?"

"Mhm." she still looks around as if she was unsure that it was really thunder. "Come here."

Amerie scoots closer to me laying her head on my chest.

"I'm sorry about last night." She says.

Like I said last night was hell. She cried out of nowhere and panicked in her sleep. When she had to use the bathroom she wanted me to come with her. When I had to use the bathroom she wanted to come with me.

She was exhausted but she would barely sleep. In the middle of the night we walked to the kitchen to get her a new ice pack and she fell asleep on the island but jumped when she heard me close the freezer.

I barley slept and I was stressed but I knew I had to suck it up and deal with it because she needed me.

"My face hurts." She mumbles.

"You need a new ice pack. Come on." I flip the blanket back and she whines. "Amerie..."

"I don't wanna get up."

"Then sit here and I'll get the ice pack."

"No. Don't leave me." She starts to sniffle and I take a deep breath.

"Come on Amerie. You need to keep ice on your face and you need to eat something."

"I'm not hungry." She sniffs louder.

"I didn't ask you if you were, I said you need to eat somethin. Now come on baby girl."

With an attitude she rolls off the side of the bed wiping her tears away. She walks to the door then stops, waiting for me to walk ahead of her.

When I walk to the door she instantly grabs my hand gripping it tightly.

They walk into the kitchen and Amerie sits in the chair. Jay hands her ice pack which she takes with a pout and sits on her face.

Jay looks in the fridge for something to feed her that didn't require her to chew or him to attempt to cook.

"Apple sauce or yogurt?" He ask and she shrugs. "Amerie, pick one."
