We had left the hospital almost twenty minutes ago and I knew it didn't take this long to get back.
"Where are we goin?" I ask again. The first time I asked he wouldn't tell me.
"We gotta go outta town for a day or two. Nothin serious."
"If it's not serious why can't you just tell me?" He doesn't respond, instead he continues driving like he doesn't hear me talking to him. "Jayden." I raise my voice.
He still doesn't answer me and I start to become annoyed. He seriously irritates me.
I sit back and cross my arms and stare straight ahead. Fine, if he wants to ignore me ima ignore him.

Some time during the ride I fell asleep. When I woke up the sky was starting to lighten up. It was now 6:30 in the morning. I look at my surroundings we were on the highway and there were very few vehicles around.
I wanted to talk to Jay but I'm still ignoring his swisher sweets built ass. For a while I look out the window lost in my own thoughts until my phone dings and I look down.

This was the second time I received a text message. I had gotten one while leaving the hospital and then now. I haven't brought it up to Jay because he said he was gonna handle it. But I can't lie I was feeling uneasy.
I lock my phone back up and slip it under my leg. I look out the window until eventually until I fall back to sleep.

I've been driving for a good four hours and I can't lie I'm sleepy. The drive from Atlanta to Augusta was slightly over three and half hours but I managed to miss three exits along the way.
I was tired and hungry as fuck. As soon as we hit Augusta I'm stopping to get some food. I looked down at my GPS. We were ten minutes away from Augusta but twenty five minutes away from where we would be at.
I glance over at Amerie who was sound asleep. Her phone had been going off the whole time she was asleep and she not once checked it.
I can't lie a nigga was tempted to check cause who would be texting her back to back like this? She better not be out here fuckin with somebody or both they assess comin up missin.
