Arriving at the private hangar, Jay parks his truck in a designated spot.

"Stay here for a second." He says getting out and I watch from the mirror as he greats a man who was standing off to the side.

I look down at my phone reading the text from Ze. She was letting me know that they weren't too far away and that they'd be here in about ten minutes.

I type a quick reply and press the button to turn my phone screen off. Looking in the mirror I notice Jay back towards the car. He walks directly to my side opening the door.

"Come on." He says grabbing my hand helping me out the truck. The man from earlier walks to the vehicle opening the trunk retrieving our bags.

Hand and hand we walk towards the jet as Mercedes and Kairi walk closely behind us. Guiding me up the stairs and onto the jet I look around taking in the smooth tan interior. It was spacious and clean making me feel like I was a billion-dollar bitch.

Sitting comfortably in a seat I watch as Jay sits across from me then at Kairi and Mercedes who were looking around to pick their seats. I sit my purse next to me and lay my head back against the seat.

I was trying not to stress about this trip but I couldn't help but do just that. Hearing my phone chime I look down seeing a text from King saying he was around the corner. As I sent my reply I look up to see Ze, Kianna, and Ace boarding the jet.

Kianna offers me a small smile as she walks by. Ace stops by Jay bending down whispering something to him. Ze looks at me a raises an eyebrow mouthing the words,

"Are you okay." I nod and she walks past towards the back. Truthfully I was okay, but at the same time, my anxiety was kicking my ass.

Trying to calm my nerves, I practice a few deep breathing methods which attract Jay's attention. He quickly ends his conversation with Ace and gets up from his seat.

Jay grabs my hand and I get up from my seat and he leads us off the jet. The cool air hits me and I allow myself to breathe in the fresh air attempting to calm my nerves.

"What's wrong?" he asks wrapping an arm around my waist. I lay my head against his chest taking in the rich smell of his cologne.

"To be honest, I'm just skeptical about all of this, I don't wanna mess this up for not only myself but everyone else. I just wanna do the right thing, so everybody can finally get some peace. I'm just scared that I might make the wrong decision, and that decision might cost all of us our lives." I wrap my arms around his torso.

"It's not easy being the leader, is it? Your worries now, is the shit I go through every day, every situation. I always think of the worst possible outcome that's why it probably feels like I baby y'all, you feel me? When that's just me coping with the decision I made."

I take in his words and hold him a little tighter.

"Do you trust me?" I ask him.

"I wouldn't be standing here if I didn't. So yeah, I trust you, Amerie."

His words bring a pleasant spark of peace to my mind.

"Can I ask you a question?'

"Hmm?" he asks and I feel the vibration of his deep voice.
