A couple days have passed since the meet up with my brother. I was still trying to process the information he said, I was at a place where I didn't know if I could trust it or not, but at the same time I wanted to know more.

I stretch and flip the blanket back getting out the bed and heading to the bathroom. I brush my teeth and begin washing my face when I see Jay's tall frame in the doorway.

"Why are you starring at me like that?" I ask wiping under my eyes.

"I'm not allowed to look at you?"

"Nope."

"Too bad, that's all me." He walk over tilting my chin upwards. "I was gonna kiss you but ya' breath probably smells like ass." he says scrunching his face up.

"I told you stop making me eat your booty. I said a long time ago that it lingers in my mouth for a few days." I joke and he drops my chin and pushes me sucking his teeth.

I couldn't help it, I know he's sick of my shit.

"Man get away from me. I came in here to tell you we have a gang meeting in twenty minutes."

"Okay. Let me finish getting ready."

Once I finish washing my face I walk back in the room grabbing a pair of black leggings and a long sleeve shirt from Jay's closet. I slip my feet into some slippers and walk out the room.

In the living room sat Ace, Ze'rea, Kairi, Mercedes, Kianna, and Jay. I took a seat next to Jay and he sat up some and cleared his throat.

"Aight so we gon make this a short as possible. We got extra people in here today, Kianna here cause she been seeing the same black car driving past her place for a couple of days. So until we sure she not at risk she staying with Ace & Ze."

"I-okay." Ze says pressing her lips together.

"Now the rest of this has to do with Amerie."  Jay says tapping me.

I sigh and sit up some.

"Okay so, the other day I went to meet with someone who claims to be my brother. Ze and Kai, y'all remember Mercedes saying that night that she met him and he wanted to help us. So I went, and all though a lot of things didn't make sense and didn't correspond with what I thought I knew about my family, he says that the leader of Mtm is... well, me and Mercedes dad."

"Y'all dad? You sure?" Kairi ask me giving me a confused look.

"I don't know... I mean I don't know that man. He could walk right past me and I seriously wouldn't know if it was him. I never seen him not even a picture... nothing. But my brother says that's who's running the gang."

"Are you even sure this is your brother? This could just be a trap, you know? Like another set up." Ze says.

"Exactly. I don't trust it."  Kairi says.

"He came out of nowhere.  Where was he all this time? Why choose now to wanna help?" Ze says.

"I mean listen, don't get me wrong I have my questions and my concerns. But right now I'm not getting any vibe that's telling me he's lying.  Why would he even tell me that the leader of his gang is specifically trying to kill me and my sister? The rest of you are loose ends. This isn't a YNH vs MTM beef. Ace was there, King said it himself, YNH wouldn't be a target had Jay not kidnapped me.  And I know it sounds crazy but I believe it."
