As we run down the hall a man jumps from out the closet knocking Kairi down while another one comes behind me. I was in survival mode all I knew how to do was fight and survive.
Me and Jay trained but I've never been in this position before. Kairi struggled on the ground her knife within her reach and the man had her pinned down. The other man had his arm around my neck and I still held on to the heel despite not being in a position to use it.
I only had one option. I move my head down and take in a deep breath before shooting it back up and head butting him. My head was spinning but I couldn't stop. Once he let me go I turned around hit him with the heel.
When I felt the heel break the surface of his skin my eyes widened. I didn't know if he was dead or not all I heard was Kairi telling me to run.
I didn't wanna leave her but she insisted. As I run through the next door I hear two gun shots behind me and my stomach drops. I was panicking I was next. I had to be. I'm Standing on the other side of the door looking at a bed. On the bed sat a phone that I quickly grabbed. Using the flashlight I look for somewhere to hide.
I hear the door knob moving and I quickly hide and squeeze under the bed.
This was the dumbest decision ever but I panicked and didn't know where else to go. The door opens and the light come on.
"Amerie?" Never in a million years did I think hearing Ze'rea's voice would bring me so much joy.
"I'm under the bed."
"Well get from under there." I slide from under the bed and see Ze'rea still holding her gun.
"Where's Kairi?"
"I'm r-right here." She was breathless rubbing her neck. She closes the door rest her back against it.
"What happened to Ayana?" I ask.
"I left her in a closet. She'll be aight." Ze pats around. "Dammit it I left my phone out there."
"Well I found this one laying on the bed." I say handing it to her. She takes the phone and looks at it.
"Wait this is Ayana's phone."
"Why is it in here?"
As Ze looks at the phone two messages pop up.
