For the past week Mercedes and her son, Elijah, have been staying with us in the penthouse. I gave my room to her for the time being.
This was very temporary she was in need of our protection and she wasn't safe staying anywhere else.
Kianna on the other hand went home but stayed in close contact. She wasn't necessarily a target but if anybody rolled back the tapes from the night at the club they would see she left with Izzy and that would mean chaos for her.
I was in the living room watching tv when my phone rang from an unknown number. The sound of the phone ringing made Elijah start crying and I quickly yelled for Mercedes to come get him.
I glance at the call before answering it.
"Hello?" The call ends and my phone vibrates with a message.

I look at the message. Could this be what Mercedes was talking about? I call Aces phone and he answers after a few rings.
"Wassup?"
"I got a text. A time and location."
"You think it's what Mercedes was talking about? With your brother?"
I had filled Ace in on what Mercedes told me that night we killed Izzy about this alleged brother of ours. He also knew that when ever that time came he was the one I was gonna bring with me.
"I think so. I'm not entirely sure, but you know I'm not going alone. I'm not about to walk into a trap alone."
"Do you trust her?"
"Hm?"
"Your sister."
I pause for a minute glancing at Mercedes who was in wiping Elijah's nose.
"I'd be lying if I said I did completely. Which is why she's coming with us."
"Aight. What time?"
I look at my watch which read 1:27. "Get me at 2:00."
"Bet."
We end the call and I get up from the couch.
"Get yourself together. We leaving in thirty minutes." I say to Mercedes.
"Where are we going?"
"To see our brother. Elijah is coming too." I say walking past her.
- Getting into Aces car Mercedes fiddles with the car seat.
"I did not sign up for this shit. What I looo like riding around with a car seat in my shit." Ace says looking behind him.
"Why does it matter? You trynna impress someone? I'm telling Ze'rea." I say and Ace sucks his teeth.
