Sabrina is driving Layla crazy in this house. She's simply a diva. She gets what she wants, do what she wants and whatnot. But Layla's not gonna take that. She's just few months away from turning two."Ya Layla, your house smells so nice wallah. It has this unique scent of coffee and bakhoor" Said Norah sitting on the couch next to her sister.
"Really? I don't even know what it smells like in here."
Norah came back from school for summer break and she's staying with over to help with Sabrina, since her nanny decided not to come back from home.
Well, today is Sunday and Layla has nothing to do, like absolutely nothing. Muhammad has gone to South Africa for a business meeting. He is coming back on Friday inshallah, She misses him so so much.
"Norah, ne yapmalıyız? Sıkıldım (what should we do? I'm bored)" She asked her sister.
"Bilmem ki, let's go for a walk in the neighborhood?" She suggested and Layla agreed.
"Let's go to Aidah's house, Aidah Deribe" Layla said. "Let me call her and see if she's home."
"Omg the Aidah that got married to Sayyid Remawa last month? You know her?" She bombarded her sister with questions.
Layla sighed. "Evet onu biliyorum. Yes, I know her"
She picked a long navy blue hijab and her phone. She changed Sabrina's clothes to a yellow cute summer dress and her pink crocs. She looks adorable! Mashallah!!
Layla held Sabrina's hand as they walk around the almost empty street in maitama.
"So, how do you know her?" Norah asked
"We met in El-Amin minna when I was still there, before I got transferred To LBIS. And her husband is Muhammad's friend" She replied her.
"Oh wow! That's nice" She said pushing Sabrina in her push chair. They are almost there, just few blocks away from the terraces.
"What are you planning on doing for your birthday?" She asked.
"Hiçbir şey planlamıyorum, I'm not planning anything!" Layla simply replied
Muhammad isn't going to be around for her birthday. So sad. "You know we ain't gonna allow that. We must turn up" Norah said
Layla rolled her eyes and pressed the doorbell. Minutes later, Aidah opened the door. "Layla Hussein!!" She yelled and hugged her.
"Aidah Deribe, you're married for gods sake!" Layla smiled hugging her back. Aidah rolled her eyes. She ushered them in to the living room. She called her maid to bring refreshments for them.
"Oh my god, how are you?" She asks and reached for Sabrina. To both Layla and Norah's surprise, she went to her.
Aidah and Norah exchanges pleasantries and what not. The maid came in with the refreshments. Aidah sat on the couch next to Layla with Sabrina cradled in her arms.
"It's been so long since we met last, you missed my wedding" She said with a furrowed brows
"I know right! It's been ages. Wallah we were outta town that time"
They talked for a while before they left, it was already time for Maghreb when they reached home. They prayed and sat in the living room upstairs watching tv. "Norah what should we eat for dinner?" Layla asked
"I don't know, Indomie?"
"Yaaay! Nonii" Said Sabrina. Norah and Layla looked at each other and laughed.
"Baby, do you wanna eat indomie?" Layla cooed at her and she grinned. "Evettt"
She pecked her on the Cheek and smiled
