Tiet's POV

I sit staring at the vampire in front of me. He had left me speechless at his words and I could only sit there staring at him. I feel his hand gently caress my cheek and I shiver. His touch is electrifying and it reminds of last night when I had sat beside him. I had felt the power that he had possessed radiating off of him. He was not the strongest but he still possessed and immense amount of power.

I think back over the previous night's events searching for an answer to his question. When I had walked into the dining hall I had seen him. He had blonde hair that fell just below his ears. I had ran my eyes along his strong jaw line and the chiseled features of his face to a set of thin lips and eyes were as blue as the Nile. He had a muscular build that seemed to strain itself against the confines of his toga. By the Goddess Hathor he was handsome!

I had slowly made my way around the room refilling everyone's cup, dreading making my way to this creature's table. I knew what he was. I had always had a natural ability that allowed me to distinguish a supernatural from a human by the energy he or she gave off. Every species had their own specific type of energy and I had always assumed it to be a gift granted by the Goddess Isis. Slowly, I made my way over to his table.

"Would you like more wine sir Ettore?"

Our eyes met and my breath had hitched. Instead of the coldness that was so common to the eyes of most vampires, his eyes were soft and of the deepest blues of the Nile. They told of timeless wisdom and untold kindness yet there were also mysterious and dangerous in them. Something that drew me to them.

"What is your name?" He asks taking my hand. His touch had sent my heart racing and had set my stomach aflutter and his husky voice enough to weaken my knees.

"I am but a servant, my name is of no importance." I said dropping my eyes in shame. I wanted him but there was no way that he would ever have interest in the likes of me. Any interest would be only for sexual purposes and I would be discarded soon after.

"It seems one of your people has found something that holds his interest!" King Rameses exclaims clapping the older vampire on the back. The vampire leans and whispers something to King Rameses before King Ramses spoke again.

"Alessandro if you wish to have her then she is yours to do what you wish! Enjoy my friend!" He says raising his cup in a toast.

I quickly withdraw my hand from his. "I will be in your quarters waiting sire." I spit through gritted teeth before turning and walking out of the room. I knew what the king's words had meant. My life was coming to an end. Even though I was a witch I was a young one who would be dead before sunrise. I had not yet learned to use all of my powers and there would be no way that I could defend myself against the vampire.

I assume for most people knowing what was coming, they would have said their goodbyes, made peace to loved ones, and prayed to the Gods for protection. Both of my parents were dead. My father had been killed in battle and my mother had died giving birth to me. I had been raised by my grandmother who had passed away 8 years ago. I was now 25 birth years and having no money to support myself I had sought servitude at the palace of King Ramses. The servants were subject to various forms of abuse but it beat risking our hands being chopped off for trying to steal food. I make my way back to my quarters to pray the Gods and Goddess Wadjet for protection. Seeing as I would not need my few ragged possessions I rise silently and make my way to the quarters of my killer.

It was late into the night before he finally arrived and I stood waiting patiently for him. I was determined that if I were going to die it would not be without a fight.
