Song Choice: Stacey Q - Two of Hearts

Five told her every detail about what happened the past few days and about the apocalypse while (Y/n) listened with her full attention on him, soaking in every last word as he looked her dead in the eye. When he finished he waited patiently for her response. She didn't know what to say. "That's..." "A lot to take in, I know." Five finished for her, remembering that Vanya was the same way.

Little did he know that she knew from the start about the apocalypse.

(Y/n) gulped and spoke lightly. "But what if the apocalypse is supposed to happen and you shouldn't get involved in the world's fate?" That shocked Five extremely. He kinda expected her to be the type of person who would do anything in the world to save others.

Little did he know that she actually would.

"Are you saying that I shouldn't save millions of lives and just let the end of the world happen?" Five said in a slight snappy way. "That's not what I said." (Y/n) sassed back. "I mean, everything and everyone has a fate and a beginning and end. You're playing god if you change those fates. Five, you have no control over who lives and who dies. You are the one thing in the world you can control. Nothing more. Nothing less." Five was quick to respond. "And I'm using my control over myself to stop the person who will cause the apocalypse."

Before the argument could turn into a fight, (Y/n) chuckled. "It's weird how different we are. We even have different views on the apocalypse." Five smirked and shrugged his shoulders as they began to walk through the store, Five holding the flashlight. "You're just more of a realist than me. Oh, that's another thing I wouldn't have guessed about you."

The two exchanged smiles and a small moment of silence passed before (Y/n) spoke up. "Don't attack me on this but I've seen some shit and the apocalypse just seems like a terrifying work of art. Not in like a psycho way just in like..." She shook her head. "It's hard to explain." Five wanted to continue this topic. "No I get you mean. The apocalypse is an impressive thing to pull off but I'll stop it no matter what."

Five looked at (Y/n). The more he thought about it, the more mysterious she was. Now that he thought about, he barely knew anything about her. Who was she? Where did she come from? What's with her suspicious behavior? What's her story? Who was she? "(Y/n), if you had the chance to stop the apocalypse, would you?" Five asked. (Y/n) looked at the ground, refusing to make eye contact. "Let's change the subject." She said as her lips formed an awkward frown.

Five sighed. Just another mystery he'll have to find out himself. "Fine, so how's working at the prosthetic place?" "Awful." (Y/n) said dramatically in one breath. "Why?" Five half-regretted that, noticing her making a face that meant that she was gonna go on a rant. "I hate the boss so much. Sometime last week he gave me money to get the new materials and I ended up spending all of it on them so he was like," She deepened her voice to do a terrible impression of the boss "'Er (Y/n)! Ya spendin all me money!' And then I said 'but Mr. Hare I'M ONLY DOING WHAT YOU SAID!!!'-" Five cut her off, not wanting her rant to go on any further. "Ok, ok. When's your last day interning there?"

(Y/n) calmed down as she caught her breath. "It was actually today but I'm taking all my stuff back from there some time tomorrow." Five felt his hands get a little sweaty much to his surprise and tried to wipe them off inside his pockets. "Um, do you maybe wanna hang out again like a day from now?" (Y/n) thought for a second or two then shrugged. "Depends what time because I'm going to a party later on in the day." Five put his mouth in an 'o' shape and silence made its way between them.

(Y/n) could sense the upcoming awkwardness so she decided to face anxiety and stop it from coming. "Do you wanna come too? You don't need an invite to get in." "I'll think about it." Truth be told, Five didn't really like or enjoy parties. He just wasn't a 'party' type person and from what it seems like, it was going to be a teenage and over party which was much worse. Just imagine over 500 Klaus' partying, that'd be the last place he would want to be.

Suddenly, Five stopped at a familiar sight. He turned and faced the group of mannequins, one specifically. "Dolores." He said to himself and looked up at her lovingly. "This is the Dolores you met during your time in the future?" (Y/n) asked, confused yet accepting. Of course Five told her about Dolores in his storytime. Five didn't respond to (Y/n) and just continued admiring Dolores.

"It's good to see you... I've missed you obviously... Well, it's been a rough couple of days..." (Y/n) could tell right away that she meant a lot to him. "Do you want to take her with you? I'm sure the mall won't go on a nonstop search for her-" Five interrupted. "Dolores is like a sister to me. I don't want her getting mixed up in all the danger I'm gonna go through." "Are you sure?" Five nodded with a sad smile, his eyes still glued on the inanimate object. "It's for her safety."

Little to the two's attention, in the distance Cha Cha and Hazel appeared and put on their masks then got their guns ready. Five noticed them as soon as the second bullet left one of their guns and let out a scream, "No!" Before (Y/n) could tell what was happening, she was pulled to the ground by Five who then grabbed her wrist and spacial jumped to a better hiding spot near the clothes.

After making sure they were both unharmed, he lifted himself with his knees to see who was in the store with them. "Oh shit, it's them." Hazel and Cha Cha were both shocked at the sudden superpower demonstrated in front of them. "You see that?" Cha Cha said, making sure she wasn't going crazy. "You said he was special." Hazel responded. "So now what?" "You start over there, I'll go to the other end. Meet in the middle. Shoot anything that moves." Cha Cha demanded and the two partners split up.

"Who are they?" (Y/n) asked, surprisingly calm. Five looked at her, eyes full of regret. "(Y/n), I'm so sorry I brought you into this." He took her hands in his. "But don't worry, I'll protect you." "So you're in danger?" (Y/n) summed up with a tilt of her head. "Yes. Stay right here and I'll find a way to get us both out alive." Five turned away and looked in multiple directions for an escape plan but as soon as he did (Y/n) ran out into the open in plain sight. Five panicked and called out for her but it was too late as she stopped at a good distance away from Hazel.

Hazel turned around to the sound of footsteps which made him panic and held up his gun, ready to shoot any kind of threat but stopped when he saw it was just a (H/c) girl. He lowered his gun abit, "Who the hell are you?" "Go ahead!" (Y/n) yelled, causing confusion to erupt in both males in the room. "What?" "Shoot me!" (Y/n) shouted again.

"Shoot me! Come on, shoot me!" 'What the hell is she doing?' Five asked himself repeatedly. He wanted to jump in and get her out of there but something in his gut told him to trust her. Hazel didn't know what to do but his best guess was that this girl was bad news so he brought his gun back up again, putting his finger on the trigger. "You asked for it, kid." The bullet left the gun quickly and Five screamed out a death cry. "NO!" The bullet entered the front of (Y/n)'s hip and exited in the back of her hip, she stumbled back abit from the sudden impact. Blood rushed it's way out freely through her shirt and down her leg. (Y/n) collapsed to the ground in a grunt full of pain. Five's head spun.
