"If you shoot me then you'll never be with her."

Five's cocky smirk dropped almost instantly. He felt himself freeze like an idiot. "What?"

Lana's smirk only grew. "You know exactly what I'm talking about."

Five gulped and held his breath, lowering his gun by only an inch. Would (Y/n) really- No. He refused to think into it. He knew too well that Lana was the master of manipulation, the master above all masters. He glared once again and positioned his aim. "No, I'm doing this for her. Not me. The only way she can actually think straight and live healthy is if you're out of her life once and for all. I don't care if she hates me for the rest of my life, I promised myself I would help her and that's exactly what I'm going to do. I came here to save her."

"Oh but you do care. She adores me, she idolizes me, she loves me. Do you really think she'd ever look in your direction again after you killed the one person she adores, idolizes and loves?"

It took Lana a while to figure it out, a bit longer than she'd like to admit. She purposely lost sleep just to think about the situation, it was almost making her crazier than she already was just by trying to figure why Five hadn't killed (Y/n) when he found out about her secret. She studied Five for a very long time now, ever since she became the new mastermind she had to pay more attention to the Umbrella Academy, even before and after Five and Ben left. She had a few moles in the Commission so that's how she kept an eye on Five. Lana Griz was always watching, if not with her own eyes then through others eyes. She knew too well that if Five Hargreaves knew or even suspected someone was double-crossing him behind his back, he would kill them.

So why hadn't he tried to kill or hurt or interrogate her at all?

Then it hit her like a mother fucking wooden bat with nails. She almost couldn't believe it, but it made too much sense. The more she thought about it, the more logical it sounded. She laughed herself to sleep like a maniac that night at her new secret weapon she could use against Five.

Five felt like a fool for listening intently to every word the woman spoke. He didn't want to but since (Y/n)'s feelings were involved he couldn't help himself. "God." Five muttered, disappointed in himself as he slightly lowered the gun again.

Lana's smirk shifted to a giant sharp smile and her eyes widened like she just watched the person she hated the most get killed before her. "Gods not in control, I am!" She began to walk towards Five which made his panic rise inside him from the pit of his stomach to his forehead.

'Do something or you're gonna die you idiot!' He screamed in his mind and forced his finger to pull the trigger, releasing the bullet.

(Y/n) and Klaus passed three rooms already and still couldn't Five and/or Lana. (Y/n)'s worry began to grow even though Klaus kept reminding her that Five was a smart guy and could handle himself very well on his own, that didn't help (Y/n)'s panic at all.
