Professor Oak's POV
It was another day, of the same boring Professor life. I was watering the plants outside my lab. I was hoping for a call from Red or Leaf.
Leaf called more often than Red. Her last call was from Oreburgh City after she won the coal badge.
I realized that the television was on, when suddenly I heard a reporter's voice from it.
'This is live from Petalburg City, remains of an asteroid have been found, a triangular...', said the TV reporter, and I muted the TV.
I quickly rushed to the computer and dialed a friend's number.
'Hello ? Professor Oak ?', he said.
'Birch, I need you to go to Petalburg right now', I said.
'Ah, the asteroid, I was heading that way, almost there', said Birch. 'Don't worry I'll send you the data'.
'I don't need the data, just do me a favour, check for any DNA', I said.
'Don't worry...I...I...don't believe it. It's...', said Birch.
'Don't freak out, I know, we've dealt with this before, we can do it again', I said.
'We can't, we were young at that time, I was twelve, you were in your fortys', said Birch. 'But now, we can't'.
'We have to, or we could just take help', I said. 'There are plenty of trainers out there'.
'What if it's more powerful now ? No one would be able to fight it', said Birch.
'Birch, they just need to destroy the gem in it's chest and done'.
'Just like that ? You think it's that easy ? We struggled, we lost people, hundreds of people died. And if it gets in the hands of Team Magma or Aqua, we're doomed'.
'You're concerned about those two rookie teams ? We should be concerned about Team Rocket. Their plans are getting worse. Just like he told us', I said.
'Who ?', asked Birch. 'Oh, sorry, I remember. Yes, I believe Team Rocket is working on that plan. They don't have the frequency, do they ?'.
'Not yet', I said. 'I'll talk to you later'.
Birch hung up the call. I un-muted the TV.
'...Anderson, from Hoenn News Network', said the reporter, and the camera focused on a three feet deep triangular hole in the ground.
Red's POV
Another warm day in Johto. The sky was clear blue, no clouds, only the yellow hot sun.
I was sitting on the chair next to the study table, organising my bag which was pretty messed up.
Ethan was in the rest room. And Lyra, she was - Lyra, running here and there looking for her things.
My bag's fainting yellow color reminded me the time it took to reach Johto - 8 months.
It was my birthday, the day I got my starter Pokemon - 8 August 2013.
